Yeah, that's where the take falls apart for me: like I said earlier in the season, ninety percent of the board was on Brown's neck for his coaching decisions, rotations, etc., and as soon as Fox went on Draymond's podcast, all of the scapegoat energy immediately shifted to him.

I lowkey feel like a lot of people wake up in the morning looking for reasons to blame players for something.
It's not easy to admit that the team you choose to follow aren't good. But if you can always blame it on someone, it makes you feel better that it isn't your own stupidity in choosing. THEY just been failing us.

Even though we won, I didn't like how the team play defense on the big. When Sengun was so deep against Sabonis, someone got to come in and hack him...you can't just left Sabonis alone on the island (he's not a great defender)....I seen that quite a few times and it is disappointing there is absolutely no strategy in defending it. It's the same thing with Giannis going after Sabonis. Guys who are guarding the perimeter need to be aware to help Sabonis out. This is one area I hope Christie improve moving forward. I mean you don't need to double him, but can't you at least try to do fake double? At least do something to bother him? They did absolutely nothing.

I'm convinced the biggest factor is just not practicing so much during between games. They looked fresh the whole game. I just think Brown was running these guys ragged in practice during the season, which seems nuts to me. You're playing 3-4 games a week. You need to rest.
It's more than that, though. Christie reaches the guys in a different way. Might be the most unique head coach in the league, in terms of how he can resonate with the players

It's 100% that too. But the bare bones reality of just not running your guys into the ground between games has visibly improved our energy. The guys HAVE the energy to play the way Doug is LETTING them play. Simplest way I can put it.

Doug is an incredible leader.

I don't need personalities on the boardcasting team. Aren't the stars out there laying their bodies on the line to entertain us not enough?

Can we just get the facts and move on? Do we really need the color commentary?
Well, I do. I don't want dry assed no-flavor broadcasting. Like, rest in peace to the legend Chick Hearn. Rest in peace to the legend Gordon Solie. Rest in peace to the legend Vin Scully. I give G-Man his props, too... and it's nice, every now and then. But I ain't trying to listen to that 82 times a year.

8-2, 8-1 since we had a practice with Doug. 73 win pace lmao. Beat the champs at home and the #2 team in the west. I’m BEAMing with happiness what a turnaround, just a month ago this current iteration and roster was having its obituary written
I really hope we take the Wizards very seriously and guard the 3. I’m still nervous for those kind of games and hopefully Coach DC is already warning them about it lol

I rarely ever watch the TNT guys anymore, but did watch their halftime show and, well, it didn’t disappoint.

Barkley and Kenny basically arguing for Sengun over Domas because they are winning more. Cool. But as I pointed out a couple seasons ago when the KINGS were flying high in 3rd place in the West — where was that same argument for Domas and Swipa? lmao.

When it was the KINGS doing more winning than potential all-stars from other teams — then their POV was “the KINGS are new on the block and the winning may not sustain”. SMH. Doesn’t matter now that the Rockets are the new kids on the block (they haven’t qualified for the postseason in almost 5 years and have been a perennial tanking lottery team), now all of a sudden the “winning” thing trumps all when it didn’t 2 years ago.

For the record, I couldn’t care less who does or who doesn’t get voted to all-star games. I gave up caring about that years ago. What irritates me is the inconsistency, hypocrisy, and bias involved. It reminded me why I rarely pay attention to those guys, and numerous others, anymore.

More to the point on tonight‘s game — my hats off to the KINGS for holding the Rockets off. Clutch FT shooting down the stretch. This was a super important game that needed to be won. And they got it done.

I wouldn't go that far, haha... it's a distinct trait for a player's coach. Just like the other coaching styles, they exist for their reasons and they stop working when it comes to a certain point.

We were obviously at a point where Coach Brown's words weren't resonating with our players so it'll just be right for us to switch up to a player's coach who can wrap their arms around a players and give them the trust and the right level of motivation.

Obviously it's very early for Christie, but I'm trying to think of who else would fall into that definition as a real different player's head coach?

I had to use google to refresh my memory on how long for an ankle sprain.
"A basketball player with a sprained ankle might be out for a few days to a few months, depending on the severity of the injury."

Let's hope he's not out a few months.

If I remember right there are 3 grades for ankle sprains and the kings have experienced all three. Let’s hope it’s the lowest grade.
