DC is going to have to pick between Huerter and Carter at this point. I vote the stat stuffing rook who locks it down on D. If not he's getting max 8 mpg.
If we're able to move Huerter for a 4/5 and also get a long term backup pure center we can do so much small and big lineups with killer defenders in the middle. Will be crazy. I don't even think we need a unicorn at that spot now.

Luke 'freaking' Walton coached the Warriors to a 39-4 record while Kerr was out in what became the 72 win season.
That was not an interim head coaching gig - Kerr gets credit for every game of that stretch.

These wins go on Doug's official record. The only real difference here is the contract terms.

That is better than .833. Too bad for him that those wins go to Kerr's credit and Luke went on to have six out of six losing seasons before going back to being an assistant.
I hated Luke Walton as a player and as a coach -- but the record is what it is. And it's the biggest reason why we got stuck with him as our coach for 3 years. If Kerr gets the credit for that 39-4 record his assistant coached his squad to in his absence (better than the 33-6 record Kerr himself compiled that year when he was able to coach), what does that say about Mike Brown?

Yeah, and Atlanta did the same a few seasons ago
You guys understand that there's a difference between contenders and perennial contenders, right? If you make the conference finals, you were a contender for that year; if you don't follow up on that success, that doesn't negate the fact that you were a contender that year. To paraphrase Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz, a "run," as @kingsboi called it, happens to qualify.
