Team-high 16 on 9 shots. Just killing us.
Like, I conceptually understand helping off to stop the drive, but we're going on 35 games now of us just straight up being roasted by 3's because we're late closing out every time. And it gets guys in an early rhythm and it lets someone like a Jaylen Wells torch us for 27.

We seriously cannot be THAT scared of giving up a bunch of shots at the rim. Surely, at some point, the coaches have to look at the math of how many point we're allowing because of all these wide open 3's. And it's just purely scheme; the wing defender shows in the paint, it gets sprayed to the corner or the elbow and we're late on the close-out. Every game, every half, every quarter.

I don't get it. Millions of dollars being invested in these coaches and it's the same problem that's causing us to lose these games.

To be fair, at this point, it’s only been one guy helping off of threes every single possession but the other team is just finding his man every single time.

Nice first half. Team is playing very good offense, 21 assists, team looks more relaxed and playing with some ease. Defense struggling, there is a space for their 3s shooting.
Lyles is 3pt machine lately, Carter looks good even with some struggle on offense.
Lets go, LTB.

Two things:

What is our season high for threes?

when was the last time we were hot from 3 but the other team was shooting under their average?

14 made threes at 48 percent and we have a 6 point lead at half.

With the way Devin Carter is dominating the boards, significant minutes are in his future—starter or not.
really liked his decision making and rebounding.

the foul on the 3 point shooter with the jump on the close out was a bit what I was worried about.

Would love to see a Carter Keon backcourt for a few minutes and see how they do or do not lock down the opponents.
