Mister Slim Says: After finally getting a chance to exhale, the Kings are back to business and hope to start 2025 on a good note. 76ers come to the Eagle winners of four in a row, and eight of their last ten overall. Embiid has been announced as being out for rest, but that means little-to-nothing, as this Philly team has developed extensive experience playing without him; they still have Paul George and Tyrese Maxey, and that's plenty. The "good" news is that the 76ers are bottom third in the league in three-point attempts and fifth-worst in three-point percentage, so if the Kings can just keep Maxey out of the paint, they have a very good chance at their second-straight win.

"Shoulder" is consistent with Devin Carter's status, according basketball-reference.com. Carter's status on ESPN.com is unlisted, because they do not consider him to be part of the Kings roster. NBA.com, TTBOMK, does not provide an injury report.

Translated, that means "We think we can win this without Embiid." The Kings players should take exception to that. The 76ers play the Warriors tomorrow night on TNT.

Yeah sucks for those of us who wanted to watch Embid play.

We have had the Suns without Durant twice, Dallas without Luka and the 76’er’s without Embid. Sucks for our fans who pay to attend these games.

It does suck with Embiid being out. The Kings need to start playing teams at full strength, the sooner the better, the more the better. Monte and Christie need all the intel they can get in this now shortened restart to their season.

It will be interesting to see what kind of defenses the Kings throw out there with this lineup. Philadelphia is just behind Sacramento in 3P% this season, 24th and 25th, respectively.
