As much as I love both Deebo and Monk, I think we need one of them coming off the bench and one of them traded. I’m not normally the type that calls for that but I think we need to fix the defense before anything. We need to be in every game due to physicality and defense and then figure out the rest offensively.
I think Monk gets a longer leash than he deserves, I guess because of his attitude? Just not a winning player in a lot of games, when you consider the details

Murray is one of many Kings who could have learned from Sasha Vezenkov how to move without the ball, to break to the basket, to find the backdoor cut. Those are skills you learn and that are incorporated into the offensive flow. In other words, the lack of off-the-ball movement comes from the coaches parking players in the corner and saying, "Sit."
If Murray keeps going down this path he may get signed to Sasha's Euroleague squad and he can learn in person again.

he actually does cut pretty well and he use to get a basket or two on those from Sabonis every game. Don’t know why he doesn’t get the same looks this year but some of it is he doesn’t always go hard on them. Room for improvement for sure

Maybe the 35 year old that doesn’t pass or shoot threes

spacing at the expense of player movement

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

I'm for this. 25 three-pointer limit. After that, all shots are only worth two points, no matter where on the court you shoot from.
What if there we no 3 pointers until the 4th quarter? Or final 3 minutes of a quarter?

Is that too arbitrary? Would it break those hot minutes? Or would taking the rhythm out of it make them less likely even when they were available?

How about both... Put Lyles and Keon in..... Now we might find offensive K Murray again.

Not to be the total party bummer? But I suspect they're going to lose the next game as well. This is soooo damn frustrating. Something has to give.
Something has to change. They were kind of implying that Christie didn't even try and do anything different because all this happened so quickly. One thing he has to try is putting Keon next to Fox as much as possible. It's very obvious that a team with only Keegan out there as a defender isn't working, won't work, and will likely never work. Moving forward Keon and Devin as your lead defenders on the ball is so obvious it's blinding.

Keon playing something like 3, 3, 3 and 4 minutes in each quarter was a bit odd. For sure he is not the solution to everything, but for the majority of Kings fans that "demanded" him having more playing time with MB, this moments he was on the court doesn't change much at least in this game compared with "MB era".
He didnt miss a shot (one of his made 3s was quite lucky the way the ball bounced at the rim and went in) but he wasn't so much effective in the defense especially when going against D-Lo that cooked him at least twice that I recall.
Still I think those 3+3+3+4 is not "ideal" to use any player on the court, he can't find a rhythm. During halftime Keon was the only player warming up not wearing "jackets" (having the Kings uniform/shirt as it was a normal match), maybe because of that.
