Kind of a kick in the nuts to the locals. You're here for three years at least, brand like it.

I'll just make a point of calling them the Sacramento A's at every opportunity, regardless of anybody correcting me.

I don't know how many seats they're expecting to hold back for single-game sales, but we had a temp player on our softball team who works in the A's ticket office offering to move our teammate who had season tix in Oakland *up in the season tix line*. Demand may be very high, especially for the first series ever.

So basically if they win a World Series nobody gets to claim it. Are there any championships that don't belong to a city or state in some cases? They can at least call the team the Las Vegas A's, even if the stadium isn't ready yet.

The name Las Vegas A's (plus Las Vegas Athletics) are registered trade marks but.. in the end might not matter. Funding still not 100% guaranteed to build the stadium with three big public and private infusions of cash required as shown here. The third part reportedly pledged but not guaranteed by A's ownership Fisher family.
