[Game] Kings @ Jazz 10/29/2024 6:00pm Pacific 9:00pm Eastern

Our starting lineup is very good

Especially since it looks like Huerter may be back in form. Thats three straight solid games in a row. Didn’t seem like he could put a good string together out there last season. Outside of opening night when he had just been cleared, he looks like 22-23 Huerter.

It’s nice to have DeRozan. Just an awesome pick up through and through.

Domas looks like he may be about to have his best season.

Fox playing excellent two way basketball.’

Keegan too though the three needs to get more consistent.

Still want them to balance out the bench sooner rather than later. Especially up front. It seems like Trey is regressing but it’s early and maybe he’s banged up.

Len isn’t off to the best start. I think it’s best when you have a more athletic big to platoon with Len. Hopefully Robinson is in the mail.

Keon has his best game of the season tonight. 3 blocks. Strong defense.

Taking care of business

It would be easy to say meh it was Portland and Utah. But the fact is we lost way too many of those kinds of games last year. Good to go 2-0
Well we were right there in the wolves and lakers game. I still think it will take a good 20 games for everybody to get on the same page completely losing first 2 against who we played was not a big deal for me.

Kings played well but hard to read much into this game because Utah just looked terrible. Clearly the worst team in the West and it doesn't appear too close honestly.
We lost to Houston 3 times last year lost to Portland, Washington, Detroit ect…. We lost at least 10 games last year that we shouldn’t have. We need to beat the bottom 8 teams everytime.

Yeh Keon was outstanding. The defensive intensity is exactly what we need in his minutes.

I do wonder how they will integrate Carter into this mix when the time comes. Obviously nothing to worry about now as that is a couple months away but the idea of Ellis and Carter on the court at the same time is super intriguing
I assume that dilemma will be solved through a trade. (Though some evaluators seem to think Carter can guard NBA wings)

I don't see them going with those two together in meaningful time this season

I’m personally not counting on Carter for anything this year. Anything more than a redshirt freshman year is a plus, but I think more likely he earns a role next year with a roster reset.

The slander of DeMar DeRozan is perplexing. Comparing a 6-time All Star, 3-time All NBA, future Hall of Famer with Harrison Barnes? Even at this advanced stage of his career, DDR is good enough to be a #1 option. Meanwhile, the last time HB was asked to be a #1 option, he was traded mid-game for Justin Jackson and a decrepit Zach Randolph. I love the Black Falcon but he is not in the same tier. The disrespect of the Kings in the media is nothing new. Thankfully, DDR gets the respect on the court from the refs and his peers. That's more important.

Monte addressed a key weakness, namely the lack of a true go-to player other than Fox. DDR is durable, has faced every defense known to man as a #1 option throughout his career. He will keep keep things afloat even if Fox misses some games. On top of it, he is clutch af. What more are people expecting?
