This is one of the Kings better defensive games of the year so far, although the Mavs are also missing shots - starting to look a bit like the 1st game blowout earlier

One thing about the Mavs as well is that without Kyrie there's such a void in talent on that team it's unreal. Nobody else can really do much with the ball and if THJ isn't playing well there's just not much there.

amazing on ball and off ball
I think he's already in that Mikal Bridges, OG, Derrick white tier, which is super impressive considering the role he is playing usually takes a few seasons to get acclimated to. It's going to be fun watching what type of player he becomes. I think a Kawhi-lite player is definitely in play.

I love the active defense being played. Getting great shots on offense too.

Love seeing Fox scoring in a variety of ways. Did someone on courtside poke the Fox again?

Agreed! Too bad we couldn’t grab OG

Sabonis has work to do to keep his double-double streak going (though his points/boards dub-dub streak was broken last game, he had a points/assts dub-dub).

Strong team play

Good balance and good defense

Kings blocked 9 shots in that half. They don’t typically block a lot of shots.

Keegan 3, Fox and Huerter 2 each, Trey and HB 1 each

Keegan averaged 2 blocks per game in college. I think a lot of people just assumed his shot blocking wouldn’t translate to the NBA but I see no reason why not.

What a great half of basketball. Awesome team defense, great gameplan from Mike Brown on Dončić, Keegan showing All-Defensive team potential, Fox got his seag back, etc. i can go on and on. That’s just great basketball.

I know the Mavs are short handed but this is reinforcing my belief that we turned the corner in that Milwaukee game and just had two freak losses, and FT horrors took us out of the Indy game. We’ve been playing really good basketball recently.

The starting five looks like they did last year. Right now, I don’t think Monte deals any of those guys.
I think Monte has a plan and regardless he's going to stick to it. If part of it was based on not getting a valuable deal and in turn not doing anything then that's it but Monte has been aggressive and I would expect it to be so. Monte ain't afraid to break some hearts, haha.
