Kingz19

Hall of Famer
Not a lot of rebounds when they are shooting over 60%...lol

Kings need offensive boards and they had been crashing them lately.

Kayte always says when the Kings get killed on the offensive glass that it happens with the “long rebounds”..well, the Kings have created a lot of long rebounds themselves and aren’t grabbing any of them

Without Zion, what's the excuse this time? This Kings team plays no defense lol

What's up with Fox? 4 straight games of bad play... maybe he can stat-pad a fake come back
This is inaccurate like hell. We lose both of the last two wins without Fox lol what are you talking about

team needs more heart
Here's the thing, team showed ALL the heart vs ORL. And picked up Fox when he had a down game and just competed there ass off in that one.

Don't understand the deal what the deal is tonight. Feels like we really get in our head when we face these guys and the Warriors. A lot of "little brother" syndrome going on where we just sort of know the beat-down is coming and aren't playing to our fullest potential. Because this team has shown time and time again it can be an elite squad vs a bunch of elite teams. But we just have a few of these match-ups that fully psych us out of our game.

Nah, Fox has been incredibly poor for this stretch of play. He's had a few big buckets of course, but he's been horrible for his standard. We've somehow been able to escape with a 4-1 record over the last 5, despite that, but it's rearing it's ugly head tonight.

Our rebounds are just horrid the pelicans 29 and we have a lousy 9. Some of our shots look great but don’t drop UGH was happy to finally see some great action from Sasha though! Come on Fox, Monk , Domas let’s get it together let’s not just hand this game to them !

29-9 rebounding

Outside of Domas(only 5, no offensive) the rest of the starters have combined for one rebound.

This has been a thorough beat down

And Fox is having another clunker vs New Orleans. Worst one yet….but nobody is really playing good, but that is the most concerning trend with this matchup outside of the Kings general lack of competitiveness in it.
I'm also fairly certain we've dominated the glass in the last 5 games too.

So, once again, I have no idea. Just as I thought we were gaining some momentum, we throw up a true clunker like this.

He hasn't been himself but "horrible" just isn't true until maybe today. We'll see in the 2nd half and maybe find out if he's struggling with his health in any way over the last week or two. He isn't the type to make excuses, but i have a feeling he could be playing through something we aren't aware of.

Weird strawman argument. Caruso is on a different planet as an NBA planet than KZ Okpala and Davion Mitchell. Davion would be outstanding to play consistent minutes, but he's unfortunately proving to be one of the worst offensive NBA players in the entire league. There's a happy medium there. So, Yes, Alex Caruso would make a massive difference on this defense because he's an elite defensive player. Where did I say he'd make us a defensive juggernaut? You don't get better on defense without playing good defensive players. The Kings just have very few good defensive players.
I don't disagree that a player like that would help. Might be tough considering two of the Kings top 3 players are G's without a ton of size so minutes might get wonky.

As for defensive personnel, of course the Kings don't have a ton of defensive personnel. The question is how do you get it and not sacrifice talent to do so? It looks like Monte thinks the Kings need a talent boost and my bet would be if he gets it, that's when you start seeing him look at those defender types to put around his new core. Also I still think people really underrate the ability to control clock and it's relation to defense. The 04 Pistons were are as good a clock control team as they were purely on defense. Having the ability to not have run a 120 mph every play would definitely decrease the slides the Kings experience on both ends.

If the Raptors can come back from 23 down on us, we can do the same to these Pelicans! Let's cut it down to 10-12 and see what happens before the final quarter! We can do this!!

Could all be true, absolutely. But you don't get to escape scrutiny when you're an All-NBA player and want to be called a superstar. No matters what's going on beneath the surface.

Yeah agreed. Everyone is allowed an off-game very now and then, but when you're approaching superstar status, you get held to a completely different standard/expectations every game. Maybe he's housing an injury/illness, but he does need to get out of the funk.

Sabonis and that flat Shareef-like "jumper" is so annoying to see sometimes. His legs are so lively every other time when he runs the floor, but he gets no lift or spin on that shot. That 'lethal shooter' trainer needs to be fired

This squad reminds me of the Peja, Vlade and Webber days in a good way and bad way. HB not getting that loose ball, moving too slow ... that reminded me a lot of peja. NO excuse to let CJ get that ball, let alone get that jumper off. WAKE UP KINGS wtf
