Then say goodbye to Keegan unfortunately. And even then, that wouldn't be enough to get either guy I think.

The goose is pretty well cooked in terms of acquiring actual good star players unfortunately. We either need to get quality role player types (like the guys I listed), or super flawed stars (Lavine with massive bloated contract), (Siakam, Half a year rental?) without moving Keegan.
Our closing lineup with most of the names we have thrown around would be among the best in the league imo

Fox
Domas
Keegan
Monk
Siakam, Lavine, Grant, Kuzma

as you mentioned, all those played have flaws but I like that teams chances at the end of games. My preference would be a forward in the 20-30 mil range so we have a better chance at keeping Monk and still hade a bit of flexibility to improve our bench here and there. By the deadline we will have a better idea if Duarte can sustain the level of play he had tonight. He had a Josh Hart type performance tonight.

Moving Keegan will look like desperate attempt for fast outcome , then logical trade for the teams future ….
There really isn’t anyone to trade him for anyway (at least that’s what I tell myself so I can sleep at night :D). Not going to do it for a 30 year old Siakam on an ender deal. Lavine is laughable. Kuzma? No way. Grant? Nope. Bridges but that doesn’t really help the Nets. They need to trade everyone else. They have a big Simmons contract they can use next year plus a ton of picks and young dudes for a star out there. I can’t even think of a match unless it’s Lauri. I love Lauri but I don’t think trading him for Keegan makes us a contender. It makes us better but not a contender.

You know Murray is not my favorite player at the team (maybe only because he is a F haha ) but trading him is for me blowing the future of the team ... Guy has the potential to bacome an All Star (multiple times) and moving him will be very stupid move ...
The problem with teams with long negative run is that they will sell ''their mother'' just for a momentum of glory , instead creating someting which can led them to multiple good years ...
Lets hope Kings will manage to build , not rush for momentum ...
I think fans will ne happier with 2/3 titles after few years more , then a final or tital right away and another 16 years of sad ...

I can't believe what I am seeing tonight, the worst game of the season for the team. Charlotte is a horrible team imo....no reason for them to hang around at all. Sabonis was at his worst tonight...so many uncharacteristic plays, miss opportunities. I cannot believe my eyes, he was dominating inside and yet unable to finish? Unbelievable...EVEN Domas is shocked many times in the game (his facial expression says it all). He was just out of rhyme i think. Keegan didn't contribute much...had a bad shooting game. Should never play Huerter...maybe Vezenkov would have helped. How can a team play such great D against Memphis and can't guard a weak team like Charlotte? I don't get it!!

The only ''good'' thing about Sabonis' poor game today was that he was the most frustrated person in the building with himself ...
Which shows that he cares ...

That game reminded me of the way the team played when we were lucky if we won 20 games in a season. Way to many of those types of games this year and they need to shake up the roster before it’s to late.

As someone wrote here and Coach said last year , the attitude of the other teams had to be changed this year in compare to last - from ouch we are playing to with bottom squad to be careful we play playoff team , so every small relaxation towards any game will be punished ... AS we saw today ...

The Kings need to set up a mental health hotline for their fans after losses like this. We've lost too many already.
well , it is always hard to follow team in bad run/period especially when it’s a big one …
So it’s normal for us(mostly you guys who followed for ages) to take every game even more, but the Kings are heading right direction at the moment and I think keeping the “big” 3 , who are still young is the way Monte will bring the title hopes real …

Interesting that Coach Brown mostly gets a pass on the forum for what happened in this game. Guess there was nothing he could have done, no substitutions he could have made, no strategies he could have tried. Maybe the dust-up with Malik involved such topics.

At least Brown, in his post-game presser, somewhat blamed himself. Rightly so, but the fault runs even more deeply.

I find pointless to blame someone who muck more clever and understand people pick as coach of the year …
For me he is often missing the time to change the pace of the game ….
His face something like 2 minutes before the game ends when hornets took the lead for first time was priceless

There isn’t a single another NBA team including the Pistons that Duarte can be a starting shooting guard.
of course he could. Fans seem to think every team runs 5 all stars out there every night. Most teams have 2-3 main players and a bunch of role players. If he plays like he did last night with any consistency, he absolutely is starter quality.

No player makes every shot and no coach makes every correct decision either.

yeah I don’t know why not especially if f we acquire another scoring forward like Kuzma. Seems Duarte has some decent defensive chops and that’s what we pretty much need from a SG with four other scoring starters on the floor.

when your team has gotten the coaching position wrong as many times as the kings have, the most recent COTY winner is gonna get a huge pass. Coach brown is the most untouchable person on the kings right now. Fox and sabonis will get traded before coach brown is looked at.

The move to play Len has been positive.
The move to start Duarte has been positive.
It's time for another positive move, such as take all of Davion's mins and give them to Colby.
On nights where Keegs is ice cold play Sasha.

Interesting prediction. There are other opinions on this point. The team's progress and performance through the playoffs may tell the tale.

Has Huerter finally worked his way out of the starting rotation? I’m not let convinced Duarte is the answer and I suspect a trade will happen, but from my perspective that would be a welcomed change.
Stop believing in Huerter, who was born to be soft on D. He'll never going to make the Kings better with his D. And his offense is streaking, nothing special. If he's an automatic shooter like Keegan, then he's a keeper, but he's not. Even if he sucks at defense, but if he's a lethal shooter from downtown...he would probably start....but he's not. If he keeps bricking it, there is no point of starting him...he makes the team defense much weaker and put too much pressure on the team. Once he allow penetration, it's over because it means someone need to help and then it means someone else is getting wide open shot.

I agreed with the Colby. In fact, before the season start, I said Duarte should be the starter due to his aggressive defense and will give us better chances. And Colby should be back up because he's the ONLY guy (beside Fox) that can do consistently with drop shots when he's attacking the basket. Mitchell is horrible at drop shots or attacking...he hesitated when he attack and only does it when he's wide open...he has no ability to absorb contact and draw foul...just not aggressive...that's why often time, he's reduce to just standing and shooting. I was impressed with Colby's game during the pre-season...but i don't know...it's always something about the coaching mind. It's like if you're rookie, you don't get minutes until you earn it while playing garbage minutes or when somebody down. But if they believe in the kid and give him minutes, maybe he will shine from the get go...but they didn't even give him minutes...which is what disappoint me.
