As for his regression, he put on pounds and lost his burst. I applaud him for putting in the work, but his trainer/agent and him made the wrong calculation. They thought the muscle would turn him into Russ 2.0, who is straight line like Fox, but is levels more beast mode. With the added muscle, Fox needs to zig and zag like Donovan Mitchell. Fox has never zigged or zagged. Don't think he'll ever truly be great at it. HIs ceiling is likely a longer Tony Parker. If he misses that ceiling, he's Leandro Barbosa 2.0. Average to poor shooter. Speed. Straight line. 10 year career.

I will say, in the depths of the Luke Walton era, I stated that a Fox for Ingram trade made some sense.

Under Walton our offence was one pass, stand still, and watch someone isolate. It was pretty hard to get a fair read on how anyone would go in more positive basketball setting.

No, it's not good. It's like being on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Maybe the worst game I've seen Fox play in a long, long time. I don't think he read the scouting report on NO, or if he did, he didn't give it any credit. It's human nature to let all the awards go to your head, especially when you've been wandering in the desert for so many years.
