Last year we got absolutely bodied by the Blazers who then went on to be so bad that their franchise player who previously did everything in his power to stay with their team decided to burn the city down getting out.
This is different. You know that. Game 2 statement games? Pretty close haha. This was personal. I'd say it's just an off night but the defense, oof. This is NOT a talented enough team to repeat last years performance on that end.

Game 2. Take something for that knee, and calm down.
There are plenty of teams I believe the Kings can beat in a series. The Warriors are still not one of them, and the bravado I’ve seen is silly to me. They’re better. Still. It is what it is, and it annoys me more than most things.

You are right about the defense. I mean I know that nobody expects the Kings to win a championship this year, but just wanted to see them play better defense.....

The first mistake was thinking they could get by with Huerter on Curry. Not only is that not going to work, it's going to make it even harder for Huerter to get going on the offensive end

Expect to see more effort and hustle that's all, considering it's the home opener. I think people forget about it being a home opener, so of course the expectations will be higher.
The effort and hustle being too present might actually be more of an issue. A lot of these terrible misses seem to be of the "too much adrenaline making shots go a little too strong" variety

It’s a game of runs. We were up double digits let’s not forget. The Warriors got a supernova 10 minutes from one of the best players in league history, made a few bloopers and went cold on our end. It’s really that simple. We are however going to have to just double Steph going forward and live with the results. He is basically the only dude that does anything against us

Truth be told, they're obviously not going to be this bad on defense since they are still working guys in but it's concerning. Get up to that 15-20 range in defensive rating and a 50 win season might be in sight. They got up to average for that stretch last season and looked like an actual contender. Have to sustain it though.

The ESPN stats were wrong or I read them wrong when I looked at them. It had said the Kings were +10 on points off turnovers at the half but no, I knew that couldn’t be right.

the Warriors were +10 at the half and are +18 in points off turnovers now

Yep. Don’t think you can count on either guy to make a wide open 3.
Huerter is having some serious issues. Of course, he's also got a lot less opportunity so far but the playoffs might have started what a failed Beal deal finished off. Duarte is new so it is what it is. He's still got rope.
