2023 NBA Draft Omega Thread

That’s what happens when you end up trading your 1st round pick away for…. Cap space. With a likely target being… Kyle freaking Kuzma.
Just wait till it is all settled in before you call it. Those are some sizeable leaps you just made. None of us knows what Monte knows, and the guy had us winning the conference and challenging the former champion just last season.

Nuggets with an interesting draft. It's like they acquired all these picks at the last minute and then got set on picking guys that got picked before they went on the clock and just sorta decided to choose whoever anyways.

If we just want space why not stretch Holmes? We can’t legally talk to any free agents so how do we know someone will sign here?
He has a player option for 24-25. Stretching would have been tough, not given similar benefits, and kept us on the hook longer.

Not saying that this move was reasonable. If we are able to sign an impact FA, this move makes sense. Else, we just lost two front court players, and provided added leverage to Barnes, Len, and other potential FAs. Hopefully Monte has some targets in mind and some concrete plans to land them.

I don’t get why people are mad. Sure, it’s disappointing we don’t get a draft pick. But we were third in the west last season. Why take a draft pick that will probably take three years before he’s ready when you can go and get two good players in free agency.
