The No Ceilings Podcast guys also having us take Kris in their final mockdraft.

At this point, so many people are slotting Kris to us that I am 100% confident that it's not going to happen and something wild like Cason Wallace sliding to 24 happens instead lmao

It goes without saying but since the Grizzlies were really all in on the OG hunt up until they give up and got Smart instead for half of a Gobert package, I really wonder what they were offering the Raptors and how Masai could have refused it.

Four picks, a couple of swaps, Tyus, and Ziare? Or more? Or less?

What teams that are contending or on the verge of contending, need an upgrade at point guard, have the matching salary and have the capital to trade are interested in Dame?

Philly? Their best piece is Maxey but you are likely drafting Scoot

Miami? Herro and picks isn’t that interesting for a hall of famer coming off his best year

New Orleans? Ton of young players and picks. Dame, Zion, BI is nice

who else?

The issue for New Orleans is that they're already butting up against the various tax aprons even without guys like Herb or Trey being on their extension contracts yet. That's probably the main reason they're so hellbent on getting Scoot by unloading Zion. Dude's probably gonna be able to be a plus starter Day One and on a cheap rookie scale deal for the next half decade so they can continue to pay Ingram, CJ, and all their role players.

What about OKC? They're loaded with picks and young players but are close enough to being a top 8 team in the West to potentially change course and make a run with Lillard and SGA. i don't know who they keep and who they trade in this scenario but they seem like one of the few teams who could make a decent offer.

I was thinking something like Dame and Simons for CJ, Trey Murphy, Nance jr for salary, pick 14 and 2 more first rounders. Blazers could then trade CJ to a contender

Scoot
sharpe
Trey
Whoever
Lively (at 14)

they could hold on to cj to mentor or try flipping to a contender

Jesus, I get that cap space doesn’t roll over in the NBA but I am confused to say the least about the Pacers’ overall rebuild strategy aside from their owner being famously anti-tank/rebuild

Tyrese
Buddy/Benn
#7 overall (Jarice Walker?)
Kuzma/HB/Williams
Turner

pretty much just puts the Pacers back to where they were pre-Sabonis trade except with a better Brogdan (Tyrese) and slightly better forward depth in lieu of Sabomis.
