Yeah. If anything this series has given me tremendous confidence in this core. Nothing about this series wad "Oh golden state is just levels better than we are." Kings lost this series through their own mistakes, lack of shooting, lack of hustle on the defensive glass.

We got to a game 7 vs the defending champs where 2 of our starters were unplayable, our all nba C was a shell of himself performance wise and it's hard to imagine we can miss as many wide open shots as we did in this 7 game stretch.

Making sweeping changes would be the typical fan thing to do. Just like at the deadline when most Kings fans thought the sky was falling and we'd fall out of the playoffs. Thankfully, Monte and Brown seem like they're going to take a measured approach and build this right

Monte was anything but measured, he stockpiled and sold high and picked Fox. Fox is ready now. The cap isn't going to be there forever and once that's gone? You HAVE to make sweeping changes and that's hard to do, we saw that with Petrie post 2003. They also took a measured approach to Holmes when some were saying get out now. See that? Once the dollars don't work with you, measured goes out the window. There are gaps in this roster and who is to say making that franchise changing move is possible but if it is, and Monte doesn't even just get into exploritory territory then he's playing his own game half way. He got here by being aggressive. By not giving a crap. Some of the dominoes teams have been waiting to fall for a few seasons might finally be ready to go. Now that certainly doesn't mean just doing anything obviously. Something has to change. Either they find that next all star inside, or out. That's all.

Most are saying it was a great season and it was…. We are a good team with work to do to be a great team.

If I’m not mistaken, we had arguably the best PG defender in the league matched up with the best offensive PG in the league for only 1-2 minutes in this game? A game where said PG dropped 50 points with a .622 TS%.

For a coach that supposedly prioritizes defense, this was certainly an interesting decision to say the least.

Would not have mattered with the way curry was shooting. NO ONE was stopping that

Don't blame the refs on this one. We crapped the bed in the 3rd quarter and that's it. Dissapointing way to end the season.

And this just proved that with Barnes as our starting 3 we are not getting far. Regular season player ok, but play-offs are a different beast.

Even in the regular season you never knew which version would show. We lost this series when he missed that wide open shot that he decided to be the hero with. Meh

The wild thing about Steph's shooting night is that pretty much every single one of his shots was contested. Maybe Davion does a better job of forcing him off his spots in a way that gets him to miss more but it felt like 75% of his possessions were well-defended but wound up as swishes anyways. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.

There're no great excuses to be made, but I have to say - damn ball looked like it positive SOUGHT LONEY OUT on several of those boards. Kings weren't out to lunch or just outhustled on all of those. It was weird.

You have to box out solid, even in a spot on the court where you don't think the ball will bounce. They didn't do a good enough job doing this and Looney dominated Sabonis. He was the X factor in this series, no doubt

I read the comments on this forum but rarely post. It comes down to this: Lack of focus, lack of heart. Warriors wanted it more. Such an embarrassment.

Adjustments need to be made. They have to continue to work on the defensive end and rebound. Yes they gained playoff experience but now have to regroup.

But the effort needs to be better. You cannot wilt under pressure. Heart and focus need to be there.

they ran out of gas and were getting killed on long rebounds from missed 3s. We were ahead at half time. Then the bobble head mouth piece chewer did what all time Greats do. It happens

Well, the Nuggets are up there too. The Suns even coming out after the season they had and looking like anything other than a complete disaster shows how important talent is.

Folks, no matter what we did, curry was doing this. Those blaming brown or anyone else are nuts. Curry had 50. Davion wasnt stopping that. Christie wasnt stopping that, artest, bowen, NOBODY!

I doubt Curry is able to get off that easy if Brown use Davion on him all game long. The problem is Brown substitution suck in this and really is the deciding factor. I always have suspicious of Brown substitution this season. I remember one time when Brown was sick...they have Jordi as the sub coach and he was brilliant with the substitution because he know what lineups to play to put the team in the best position to win. Brown despite being good with strategy...not a good substitution coach. This is why the last game that they won...it wasn't Brown the made the substitution to go small...it was suggested by his assistant coaches. In this game tonight...he failed to sub the right players in the game to give the team the best chance to win imo. The team actually play well with small ball...then Brown go back to Sabonis again...like what are you doing? Sabonis is just going to allow Green and Looney to hog the paint preventing Fox and Monk to attack the paint.

We can all be talking about rebounds, missed free throws, bad 3 pt shooting but Warriors will not lose a game where Curry scores 50 points, no matter who the opponent is.

Both takes are right.
The big one - the best season in A LONG time, and taking the defending champs to 7 (zero shame).
The small one - the collapse we just witnessed in the second half.

Two plays characterize this game for me. One of them was Steph dribbling the entire length of the court with Draymond shadowing him like a lead blocker the whole way. 2 points for Golden State and somehow not a moving screen. The other was Steph getting boxed out by Keegan under the basket in the 3rd and immediately flopping out of bounds for free throws (in the penalty). If the officials are going to give them those plays it almost doesn't matter what we do. Steph is the face of the NBA though. We knew we were only going to beat them with a flawless performance.

As Mike Brown said from the beginning: ain't gonna take the title thru a decision. Have to knock 'em out. Didn't happen.

Great year, nonetheless.

Great season. Not a fan of the way it ended, but they had a gear and a willpower we didn’t match, or couldn’t. Heart of a champion is a thing and we just got served a hard lesson by them. I absolutely loathe the Warriors and losing to them stings, especially with a Curry 50 piece.

Some things are clear about this team and some aren’t. It was a great season, but there are some questions that will need to be answered. Rebounding and what to do with Harrison Barnes going forward. I’ll enjoy the season and success we had while I swallow my pride and force myself to root for the damn Lakers.

Overall, a season for the ages. That tiny part of me just wishes we didn’t go out with a whimper. Lessons to be learned.

Keegan Murray is the X-factor of our Playoffs success. He hesitated and reverted back to being a bit more passive in the 2nd half and our wagon suddenly ran without a wheel.

Well personally I think coach should of had Mitchell out there all the time Curry was…. Not when Curry was on bench. I guess because TD made those 3-3s in first or second quarter coach was hoping TD would light up??? But really TD was foul machine

I'm with you on both fronts. If part of the TD logic was to press Curry and make him work, Davion was the better choice.

But it was a fantastic year.

Perhaps the greatest tribute to the greatness of this season and team is how we feel right now. We truly knew in our heart of hearts that this team was better than the national champs.

I think the HB decision becomes utterly crucial now though. He was terrible and that's the only real open slot in the starting lineup. He's old. I think Monte takes a real hard look at going and getting a Cam Johnson or Grant Williams in FA potentially, or spiking a trade for a defensive lynchpin.

Brown basically just told us in the last 2 games that HB was unplayable with the season on the line. We really think we're going to go reup that guy to a big longterm deal?

It’s too bad Mikail Bridges is unattainable with our current assets… at least at a price that makes it worth it for us. Same with OG Anunoby. Dorian Finney-Smith is a lower-caliber, more attainable option.

I like Kelly Olynyk as a glue bench big. Doesn’t really help the rebounding woes, though.

if he is fully confident and engaged he is a top two player on this team, if he is low on confidence and passive he is a hb level player

I'm not embarrassed, I'm proud as hell of this team. We had this down to a 5pt game late in the third before the 4pt play blunder. Our stars didn't show out in the 4th but that was mostly because giving up a million offensive rebounds (on the same play) is completely demoralizing and the Warriors capitalized on our inability to rebound by turning missed 2pt baskets into made 3pt baskets. That's not all on Domas -- he can't hold off three guys by himself down there. He needs help in the post and we have to find a better balance between relying on our shooters and keeping defensive roleplayers on the floor.

Had a bad feeling once i allowed myself to come down from the high of game 6. Sucks the warriors continue to have these experiences while we keep getting heartbroken or crushed. i just don't understand

To be fair, this is pretty much the Warriors last hurrah. Draymond's a free agent. Klay wants a new max contract and that Jordan Poole albatross contract pretty much prohibits them from making any additional moves/freeing up the space to bring either of those guys back. Bob Meyers is probably gone this summer to be replaced by their owner's son as GM (literally, Joe Lacob's son is the second in command in the Warriors FO) and Lacob was furious when Meyers traded Wiseman and deviated from the two timelines plan to get Payton this trade deadline.

This is the Warriors' version of the Last Dance.
