Damn, like that? You disappeared for how long?
For never. I've been on this board since 2005. I never post much, but I read the board everyday, and have always posted regularly, just not in high volume. You can take a look. My posting history is regular for 18 years.

And yea- "like that." You are in the game thread and give us the "we are done, see you next year" when we are literally down 10, and ahead in the series 2-1. The irony was that we took the lead about 5 minutes after you posted. But as I said in another post, I'm posting too emotionally right now. I just hate the defeatist attitude. I'm not trying to pick a fight (I probably was yesterday when I posted the comment you are replying to). I just hate seeing people so defeated when we were literally very much in the game and series when you posted. And your post wasn't "we suck," it was literally "we are done, see you next year." I thought it was extreme to the max. But everyone can fan how they want, so I'm gonna stop being an ass.

I can't stand watching the Warriors or their fans. And we had our chance to win this but it's not going to happen. I'm proud of my team, and proud of what they accomplished. But I'm not watching the Warriors slink their way into another championship run, especially at my teams expense. So I'm done.

And that is only because I don't want to ruin my days anymore. I'm as passionate as they come about the Kings but also prone to getting into a bad humor when things go bad. And I see the writing on the wall.

I was only saying my goodbye to the board (for now). I will miss everyone, even SLAB. But for my mental health, I'm out. I just don't think it was appropriate to respond to me like that is all. You don't know what other people go through in their Fandom. I'm NEVER negative about the Kings, I just remove myself when it looks like I can go that route.

Anyways, peace and love Kings fans. This is but the beginning for the Kings, and hopefully the END of the Warriors. And I can't wait!

I’d rather this happen in February
This happens in Feb and we’re likely not playing the Warriors right now. Woah is us! (Though we could be playing the Suns in that scenario which is even worse)
Yeah, what @SLAB said...Any earlier than this, and we're probably no higher than a 5th seed...And, seeing that the bottom half of the West playoff teams all finished within 2 games of each other, I wouldn't even be surprised if we had dropped into one of the play-in positions.

SLAB

Hall of Famer
Imagine how salty I’d be if we were playing a team I’d think we’d beat. This has actually lessened the blow of this season (potentially) ending soon SIGNIFICANTLY for me.

Before I was feeling this season like the 107 win Giants of a few years back, amazing season but the literal only think I remember about it is losing to the Dodgers who just proved they’re again the better team.

And more importantly, it is the main reason why we get so much together time to gel and hone in on the team's plan and systems. Even if we managed to not fall in position had we lost Fox or any key members earlier, it would've been unlikely to have had the chance like we did to test out Alex Len in the last week(s) of the regular season or the Kessler Edwards trial project... etc

Except that's a bad comparison because those people weren't calling for McNair's job because they didn't think Sabonis would make the team better, they were calling for his job because they thought Haliburton/Sabonis would have been better than Fox/Sabonis. They weren't mad about the trade because they were anti-Sabonis, they weren't even necessarily mad about the trade because they were pro-Haliburton. They were mad about the trade because they were anti-Fox.

I don't think it matters that you didn't literally say the words, "The Kings should be willing to trade Keegan Murray to get OG Anunoby," because I don't think that the Kings can get Anunoby without giving up Murray, so it's something that doesn't have to be said; it's sort of implied, by default.
It doesn't matter, fans had the same reaction and that's what I was referring to. I thought you were implying a statement made about Keegan for OG being ridiculous was specifically in the post that I made. If not no biggie.

The injury to Fox is sobering news. Can't believe that he was making clutch plays with a broken finger. If Fox can go, even in a limited capacity, he is going to play.

Let's not forget that Sabonis is playing with a broken thumb. We have a tough and gritty team. With or without Fox, the next game is going to be a hard fought game.

If Fox is out, then Brown has to get creative and that could throw the Warriors off for a game and we steal game 5. We know Davion will get big minutes and make Curry work. I think TD will have to get run as he’s one of the guys who can create and score. I also think Kessler is added to the rotation. With Fox out, there is probably less pressing need to keep the lane open for the other players and Brown may turn it into a defensive grind fest

The Warriors have done a good job on defense with Sabonis, who's looked average on offense - handicapped left and turnover prone. His small 'bull-charge' has looked clumsy, and he's flubbing shots and worse FTs. Unfortunately With the Kings shooters not making shots, its allowed the Warriors to clog the paint. It is a lesser version of the Shaq affect in which foul calling thresholds range around. A touch foul on Curry doesn't get called on Sabonis and Green - refs are allowing body checks and even hacks on front line players. Sabonis has a good mid-range shot that has been largely MIA. Need to focus and dust that off - the defense often sags off him - its there for the taking.

On defense, unfortunately Sabonis has looked a half step slow with the exception of pick-and-roll switching - he looks ok. I think this has been the case all season actually with defense, and it has been amplified and more noticeable in this playoffs against a good team. Its a tight-rope with avoiding picking up fouls. The main other things I'd like from Sabonis is emphatic help defense when choosing so; too often its a halfsy decision resulting in a Warrior make. And, give the ball to your guard for carry-up if no pressure. Those dribbling pick-pocket turnovers are like slow train wreck, everyone sees but Sabonis himself.

Protect homecourt that they earned after the All-Star break.

If Fox does play with a broken finger, Coach Brown may opt to start Davion with Fox in the backcourt. By starting Davion, he can take some of the pressure off of Fox’s finger by bringing the ball up court and alleviate some ball handling duties for Fox.

This would also make Curry’s life more difficult, because Davion could wreak havoc on Curry from the start of the game. This could help turn this series back to the Kings favor.

I really hope Fox can play without causing any long term damage. People say Kobes finger was visibly messed up after his injury. He was chasing ring 6(?) and played more games with it, I think. I know he was closer to the end of his career than Fox. If there's any chance this jeopardizes his future, send him for surgery and sit him.

Regardless, next game wins the series IMO.

Yeah, got to hope there's level heads in the org and we "save Fox" from himself if there's a chance of long-term damage. Especially on his shooting hand. You know Fox is going to want to suit up no matter what.

I want this series win, but we also are in year 1 of what I hope is another 5+ years of being a playoff contender with Fox as the lead of the franchise. Don't want to sink this ship just as we're finally getting out of the harbor.

Depends on where the fracture on the index finger but if it’s really at the tip doubt it’s something that require surgery at all

Im down for this whether Fox is healthy or not. I trust Huerter to eventually hit shots but we need more than that right now, this is beyond a must win. A couple threes ain't winning this one
