Kings Playoff Standings Watch!!!

So to summarize assuming all other games won by the 3 below teams (besides Kings):

Lakers beat Clippers, Kings beat Warriors -> Clippers
Lakers beat Clippers, Kings lose Warriors -.> Warriors
Clippers beat Lakers, Kings beat Walrriors-> Lakers
Clippers beat Lakers, Kings lose Warriors -> Warriors

F the assumptions 3-way tie -> Lakers

That's a bit of a bold statement given losing to them could set them up for a playoff rematch?

I guess you could also say Phoenix could strategize their matchup by load managing either LA team.
Assuming the Suns are semi-resting their players and locked at 4 -- don't care who they play - I think they are the consensus team to beat. Kings meanwhile, will probably play until 2nd seed out of reach.

Man this is so awesome. I would NOT be mad at resting some guys at some point either midway through the game or resting someone for the entirety and alternate between Fox and Sabonis. I know we technically have a shot at the 2nd seed but i don't see a huge difference and would rather we do whatever we can to stay healthy. The Mavs are fighting for their lives and we are not. Maybe im paranoid but God forbid any dirty plays occur ... eh, lemme not overthink it.

I want us to play either the Lakers or the Warriors. Preferably winning it all by eliminating both during playoffs. One in the first round, the other in the championship finals. That's the dream scenario. Then, and only then, maybe they will shut the buck up!!

Eliminating just one of those squads would literally make my year and then some. I won't even ask for anything else for a while

Well, I'm greedy. The important is not to be disappointed when you don't get what you want of you are as greedy as me. Just like you, I'll be happy if we win a playoff series even against a g-league team... But, in this scenario, it doesn't mean I won't be disappointed of what it could have been.

The refs suck in the Dallas' game. There are too many hitting the arms non-call causing the Kings' players to turnover.

And I have to say something about the Dallas team. I think they're getting worst because of Kyrie. This guy is absolutely the most ballhogger player in the entire league. He play hero ball all game long. This type of hero ball is not conducive in winning many games because his teammates are reduce to standing around and getting cold. As you can see, they didn't win by much despite Kyrie going off.

About the Kings, I guess they will have to settle at #3 seed. It sucks that every time Grizzlies lose, they couldn't take advantage of it. Same thing with losing to San Antonio.

Lakers are tanking? Looks like the Kings may play the Warriors in the 1st round!
Lakers aren’t tanking. They just aren’t as good as ESPN wants you to think. Clippers are the better team. If Suns don’t rest their guys against the Lakers they will lose that game too and finish with a win vs the Jazz. Yes, it’s looking like the Warriors because Clippers own the tie breaker. Too bad Minnesota blew the tie breaker with Lakers because they will likely end up with same record and be 9 seed vs 8.

The injury hurt the Twolves chances.....

It will be interesting to see what shenanigans if any happen between the Warriors and Clippers the last two games. If they are trying to “avoid” the 5 seed. Clippers next game is home vs Blazers and @Suns. Warriors finish @Kings and vs Blazers.

Kings Playoff Tracker

With the Kings' loss tonight, now each of the final four games for the Kings and Memphis have to break the right way or the Kings will finish in third place. (Not bad, though! Third place!)

The Nuggets have locked up the #1 seed in the Western Conference, so we won't specifically follow their games anymore.

As a result of owning the tiebreaker over the Warriors, the Clippers have jumped into fifth, and as of today, the Warriors would be our opponent.

Tomorrow, Phoenix can sew up the #4 seed and home field in the first round with a win against Denver (who has nothing to play for). The Thunder play the Jazz who need a win to avoid relegation to the lottery. Other than those two games, nothing tomorrow is relevant for the Western Conference playoff race.

I hope the Kings don’t get matched with the Lakers. That’s just too much stress and aggravation after 16 years to be immediately matched with the one damn team that I couldn’t stand the Kings losing to. Warriors are by far a scarier matchup on paper and by results..but i atleast expect a straight up series vs GS or Clippers.

However, It’s been all hands on deck by the league to drag these Lakers into the playoffs. For one, the trade deadline was suspect. Russell Westbrook(waived), Kendrick Nunn, JTA, Patrick Beverly(waived)and a draft pick a half decade away somehow netted them Russell, Vanderbilt, Hachimura, Beasley and Bamba? Seemed like teams were quite eager to help them out.

But conspiracy theories aside..what we can count on is the refs will put the Lakers on the free throw line. The Lakers have made their push at the free throw line. Austin Reaves is getting treatment from the refs he wouldn’t get on any club and that’s before you get into the actual star players.

anyway, Kings might get stomped by the Warriors but they’ll potentially get hosed against the Lakers. I don’t want that bitterness out of the Kings return to the playoffs.

or maybe the Kings destroy any team they are matched with in round 1

If the Kings want to play Warriors in the 1st round, then the chance is greater if they lose the game to the Warriors on Friday...like 90% chance.
If the Kings want to play the Lakers in the 1st round, then they must beat the Warriors on Friday and Warriors could lose the final game @Portland (50/50 chance).

The reason I predicted that is because I think the Clippers will win out the next two especially because the Suns are resting their starters. Also, the Suns would rather face Clippers than the Warriors...so by losing to the Clippers, they ensure Clippers stay at the #5 seed.

the way we guard the 3 point line, there's no way in the world im begging to take on Steph and Klay. We can beat them for sure but their ability to get hot is scarier than the LA teams for me personally
