Did Fox spit on their logo or something? I don’t think that play was anything outside of what we see normally. Didn’t come off “cocky” to me, idk
He went for the pump dunk on an open break, he whiffed it and you could see a dead Mavs pump boiling blood right after it. What was it, 19-5 run right after? I mean, you could see it happen in real time if you were paying attention. Then the refs carried it home. They let Luka have a fit, get refocused and the Kings got ZERO points on T's in the process.

The addition of Kessler Edwards and Alex Len are a huge boost to the defense imo, I think we won't be too bad
Yeah, for sure they've already helped, but two guys can't make up for a flawed system typically. The Hawks have some legit defensive personnel too. If the Kings can find a balance then this gets really interesting.

While the potential is there, the numbers are pretty much in. 25th-26th in defensive net rating, 28th in EFG% against. Those don't lie, won't lie, haven't lied all year. That said, great offense >>> great defense all day though. I brought it up before, the Hawks are the way, they made it to the eastern finals being all offense in this modern game so it's a much better way to go if it has to be that way haha.

Yeah. We can win or lose on any night with our style. But we’ve won more than we’ve lost. And we are currently 14-10 against the other West teams in the top 8. So the narrative by some that we can’t beat teams in the playoffs is quite literally not true. We’ve beat the other playoff teams at a nearly 60% clip.

I say it all the time. It’s frustrating how often the KINGS catch a player or two that are bouncing shots in off their head seemingly not even looking at the basket.

If Kyrie was such a great shooter, the Mavs would’t have been 5 games under .500 and losers of 8 of their last 9 coming in. Just garbage shots tonight from a chucker. He was 1-6 from 3 the previous game.

Making matters worse was Hardaway being hot the first half. I’ll bet he goes 6-19 the next game.

Losses like these especially suck because Dallas hasn’t been able to beat anybody. That’s a bad team that largely gets bailed out with phantom foul calls and still can’t win most the time.

Although I’m not upset with the loss, Domas was not great at the end of the game and I was disappointed they didn’t look to get Keegan involved in the 4th considering he was heating up before half.

Wonder if Brown will start resting his main guys? Judging from his interviews, he's not too keen on load management.
Load management is for marshmallows.

I wish he would soften up just a little in the last week before the playoffs begin. If the Kings come out with a thud, I can say: "35/30/30/32/32."

Being Kings fans we have to expect the screwjob though, haha. The last few playoffs are perfect for this current Kings teams the way they were called and went. Watch the NBA turn it back around into old school, pound it out and get to the line in iso this year. If it happens, no doubt, this **** is rigged lol.

My guess is he'll play everyone vs the Warriors, but rest vs the Nuggets.

Domas most certainly deserves to rest at this point. Screw the 2 seed, that was never happening. I wish we would’ve sat everyone that matters tonight
I'm fine with resting everyone from here on out. 50 wins is nice, but we need to pursue one goal and one goal only. That's how you win. Ask Pop. Side benefit is you get our backups some experience. This is the smart thing to do.

I'd like to see Brown use the bench mix longer, especially when starting players are having poor games earlier Fox, Monk, and Huerter all shot poorly.
When starters are playing poorly, bring in the energy players longer.

Brown has opted for traditional shot blocking Len and offensive rebounding over Metu's shooting and floor running. I'm ok with it, but would've liked to have seen the tinkering earlier in the season.....Brown is still trying to figure it out, but that's alright.

Why is Keegan not getting any shot at all? He's probably the Kings best 3pt shooter and not going to him is a waste. They could have run play for him like they done with Huerter...easy pick and pop.
Good question. Tonight Keegan was open a lot but I think the playmaker couldn't see him. The thing with Keegan being so dependent on others to create for him is that he gets what others give him. Also, Huerter has a legit triple threat game and when he gets the ball he can create from there whether as a shot creator or passer. We haven't seen much game out of the gather from Keegan yet. Once Keegan gets the ball he drives once and awhile but if a space defender comes out to him and stunts or his man defender attacks out he's more apt to swing right back out after a dribble or two and the play has to reset.

The lesson I think we need to learn from this one is you can't turn the ball over in the fourth quarter in close games against good teams.
Well I think they lost it in the 3rd......close to a 14-2 Mavs run in 3 min or so. They were maintaining their gap they had nicely built for the first 4 or 5 mins.....what was it 78-70, and then 82-78? The night before they responded to the Pelicans, but couldn't muster it tonight.

There was one play in the fourth quarter where a pass hit a Dallas player's foot, the ball bounced wildly up in the air, ended up in the home team's hands, and the officials signaled, "Play on." How blind can you be?
It's not a kicked ball unless a player intentionally sticks their leg or foot out. A ball that randomly hits a foot, is play on

I didn't even realize there was a game today. I low-key would rather Dallas make it to the play-in instead of OKC anyway so I guess there's a silver lining in losing to Dallas (for me). OKC might be my least favorite team to watch and/or play against in the league right now. They're talented but man are they annoying. The quest for 50 is still alive though! I believe!
