That was a really bad lost. They were coming off a back to back in an extremely close game against the Warriors. Tonight, they also rested KAT... and we let their role players beat us. Our 3pt shots weren't falling either. I think Keegan is probably feeling the pressure of breaking the rookie record + clinching + his dad at the game tonight. He needs to take a breather and I think fans need to stop holding the record over his head. He's going to eventually break it whenever he does. Malik Monk can be so awful sometimes..... feels like it's been all the time lately. His turnovers have been god-awful and reminds everyone of why he sat on the bench in Charlotte. Need a lot more consistency from him if we want to make noise.

Collectively, we still have to learn to play better defense. If we keep playing this type of defense, we legitimately might get swept in the 1st round. It seems like "home court" advantage means nothing to the guys.

We start a rookie. Our #1 scorer has never been to the playoffs. We have a veteran SF who crap his pants in the playoffs. A center who is undersized physically but oversized in the heart department. And a SG who was wrongly used in his playoff experience.

They beat us handily without KAT in 2 previous games of course they rested him when guys like Naz give us fits while this team makes minced meat out of "modern bigs".

The playoffs are going to be a huge batch of intel. Specifically with the Suns. If they dominate, the bar is now there. Period. If the games are like last years, any team that can shoot has a chance to do some damage.

We have struggled all year against bigger, longer teams. Especially teams that have long, athletic wings that defend our 3 well, and force us to penetrate against a shot blocker. Fox did well driving and pulling up in the key, but we started settling for 3s or trying to drive directly into Gobert in the 4th.

Brown hopefully will have a different plan moving forward against these type of teams.

Wolves scouting team got this win for them. They had a very good game plan - and the physical length to execute it. Eliminating the three was a key for them. They're a good team.

This season's Kings team is like an old Western gunslinger, who's been, for most of the season, outshooting everyone he meets. But that doesn't mean he is bulletproof, he has just yet to meet his match.

I think you’re right. That 6-7 game stretch where we played great defense was probably just a fluke. I think we can play much better on that end, but 72-73 games in… it’s not getting better than what it is now lol

I think they are "good" when they don't have KAT. I think they shot their future in the foot with the Gobert trade and everything they gave up. But this team when KAT isn't on the court is exactly the type of team we struggle most with.

I don't think I will single out Wolves scouting team, every team since our first winning streak had been giving us harder and harder tests. They are only going to get fooled by our last season's stats once.

Tonight is no difference, except Wolves are just so much longer in almost every position that gives us a much harder and physical test.

When you're playing in a deep competitive conference, all teams will be tough in the playoffs. Remember when the Kings were the 8th seed back in the day and took the 1 seed Lakers to the final game. This season has that kind of depth.

On the brightside I don't think the Kings need to be a top defensive team to win. They've shown once they get to that middle rung they're pretty darn unstoppable. The question now is how to get there every night? I still think more switch is the only way. They ran a lot of switch and pressure during that stretch of games. The help defensive scheme is what it is.

I feel like this is setting me up to tempt fate. I'm inclined to let our records speak for themselves against the rest of the West. But I do not want to play a team with a big bruising C that can bully and frustrate Domas and potentially put him in foul trouble early.
