Dallas Barnes was sort of bad though. There has to be a happy medium somewhere where he can be mega-efficient shooter/scorer Barnes and the Barnes that knows when it's time to go get a bucket and get to the FT line

Yeah, but Dallas Barnes wasn't really that bad, he just isn't a superstar. However it's clear the Kings need another top option offensively and the results have been clear already as to how needed it was. Barnes is a little like Domas where he doesn't take bad shots. Superstars have to have no conscience. Barnes was never going to munch enough shots even if he needed to to get there and that's what Dallas thought they would get. As a 3rd option? Lets hope that's all the Kings need this year.

I don't think Monte intentionally gave half the team the flu but this game was very fortunate from a trade value perspective.
