Again, the Kings need to send a public letter to the NBA about this. They need to make a scene and take some fines.

Domas flat out got chopped in the face right in front of the ref and nothing but they call the slightest dogcrap on him

No, not defending at all. Then again that might be the Lyles/Metu combo although Metu was very bad overall on switches and help but in one of the five man units they had a 143 defensive net rating.
According to Basketball Reference, he has a defensive rating of 112, tied for second on the team with Sabonis, behind Terrence Davis. According to the NBA stats, he has a defensive rating of 107, behind only Okpala, and ahead of Davis (minimum 20 games.)

Brown needs to change up his philosophy to where if you are on defense and you aren't either touching someone or able to touch someone, you're playing defense wrong. This has to be the worst help defense squad in the league. It's almost a guaranteed layup or 3. The exact 2 shots every team hunts for. smh.

This is a game where you just pull your hair out. We could easily put this team away with one good extended stretch of defense but we just can’t string consecutive stops together to save our lives. I feel like we’ll pull away in the fourth but man, it shouldn’t be this close when you’re this hot from 3.

The 5 man is the way to look at those considering this team hasn't had any standout defense except for stretches this year and mostly when they switched and in watching the games, Metu was a consistent breakdown point there. Also Metu wasn't exactly facing the toughest matchups every night. There was an inexplicable jump depending on the 5 man unit though. I posted the link a few weeks back, 143 in one unit but up to 83 on another. In the middle was another terrible one in the 120's I believe. Average it out and it was terrible team defense. Plus it was clear to see at C he was getting beasted quite often. He had some really nice offensive games when they ran pick and roll though but they aren't running much of that for any C but Sabonis so it didn't do much overall impact wise. Like I said, it might have been moreso both he and Lyles playing at the same time that was the real issue.

Well, at this point it would be wrong to call them let downs anymore

it doesn’t really matter where and who the Kings are playing

Kings could be very very good with a bad defense but they chose to have an especially bad defense
Yeah, and moving forward just to stay in this little bit above .500 playoff contention level they can't be a bottom 5 defensive team. They just can't. To get to the real meat of mid playoff level they probably need another top 3 offensive iso option at some point but they have to be a top 22-20 defense at the very least game in game out to get into the playoffs this year.
