Yeah, backup C is a thing, but unless that backup C can produce and allow him to not have to sub one of Domas or Fox with that bench unit at all times it might not matter much. This team needs another player that can produce every single night with some consistency. Poeltl is actually an interesting idea. He could actually help the offense flow enough to bridge that gap. I'd still shoot for the moon though and look for another 20 ppg type. Eyes on Chicago if it were me. How about Vuc? hmmm...
Lol you can't play Vuc 15 MPG off the bench. Lavine or DeRozan as a 3rd offensive engine might be real interesting. Lavine with his spacing would likely fit well and he obviously still might like Sac after signing that offer sheet many moons ago

The fact that we’re talking about trying to acquire a third star to push us even further up the ladder and not about how to blow up the team for multiple draft picks like we usually do this time of the year is improvement enough for me.

Eric Gordon can play forward because his bulky frame and still has juice left in him to score

Haha, just an idea. I think Vuc and Domas can potentially play together though plus I think Vuc has the lowest value of all 3. Heck, this is a coach who played Lyles/Metu most of the year and Vuc/Domas would run this offense to a T. You'd stagger both and if Vuc has to play less minutes so be it.

I mean, if we really wanted a back up big capable of running this offense but virtually unplayable on defense, Boogie is probably down.

If he hasn't been picked up after practically begging, it isn't going to happen unfortunately. I gave up on that dream. I mean geez, wouldn't the league even cover his salary?

I really just don't want to cramp Sabonis and put him with another big (for any extended period) anymore. Dude has been way too dominant at the 5 and 4-out, that you just can't mess with that dominance. Find defensive wings, find a back-up C with some rim protection. But what you don't do is clog the paint

I mean he's 35 next season and he's really just been rather terrible the last few years. As a buy-low, "for free" type of guy that's off the books this off-season I wouldn't mind him, but I don't want him clogging the salary cap.
I think Brown can give him a role and put him in a position to succeed and I think him being on a lottery team has negated his true value to a team who is looking to win

I don't think there would be too much crossover. The defense would be an issue, but it is anyway.

How frustrating must it have been for Brown to watch the Waltons and Gentrys of the world getting HC gigs while he was stuck in the Assistant zone with many times their knowledge.
Making millions with the best franchise in the league as part of club Popp doesn’t seem so bad.

I think we’re way more fortunate for Monte to have build a landing spot that appealed to Mike to leave such a plum gig
