NFL 2022-2023 Season Thread

There is literally nothing to review in this Raiders oob call, except that the result is clearly not in the home team's favor.
LMFAO 1/3rd of the guy's foot was clearly oob why review it?
and then pats throw away the game.
LOL OMG PATRIOTS
that TD was so far out of bounds I'm livid but what the f ever you make a play like that you should just forfeit the season.
Man, that game was wild!

Re: The touchdown that should not have been. It was very close, but I am with the majority on this board. Even I, who was going for the Raiders, thought they'd call that one back. It did look that his foot was out. However, I will (respectfully) disagree with @pdxKingsFan's observation that 1/3 of his foot was out. Maybe 1/4 of his foot was out. But nothing more than that. It was actually a lot closer than what a lot of the camera angles made the play out to be. But, regardless, yes, that should not have counted.

With that being said...

Not even the Raiders would have been so stupid as to do what the Patriots tried to do at the end of the game. What the heck??? A lateral??? I guess that is what happens when greed overtakes pride. What was once a crowd mentally, and physically, preparing ourselves for overtime turned into a crowd that was both extremely elated for the win, but also left wondering what the heck just happened.

Great game. Wild finish. Very fortunate to receive a favorable call.

On another note...I am officially without a wheelchair, as I made a boneheaded move, and forgot my lock at home. My friend accidentally placed the chair in the wrong area. There is a small, but very unorganized and unattended, area for wheelchairs, which is right next to guest services. Well, when my friend went to drop my wheelchair off, they (guest services) told him to place the chair right outside of the door, as that is the area for wheelchairs. Well, they failed to mention that they were talking about the door to guest services, and not one of the entrances into/exits out of the stadium. My friend then proceeded to place my chair OUTSIDE of the stadium. And, when he went back to retrieve it to bring it over to our section (after talking to the usher and her caving in and allowing him to bring the chair back and place it in the back, behind the last row of seats), the wheelchair was nowhere to be found. We did file a report, and guest services said that they would go back and look at videos to see if they can determine what happened to the chair, and if they can retrieve it. Hopefully, we hear some good news. But, yeah...I should've taken, and used, my lock. Lesson learned.

(NOTE: For a second there, I was a bit confused as to why he thought they meant outside of the entrance into the stadium, and not outside of the door to guest services. But I didn't want to make it so damn obvious in front of him, as he is genuinely a very nice guy, and a kind-hearted individual. And he made an honest mistake. I felt bad for him, and still do, because it was very clear that he felt terrible for doing what he did. All I could, and still can, do is to tell him not to worry, and those things happen. And I will be able to get a new wheelchair. Expensive? Sure. But still something that I can replace.)

The Patsies rightfully should not be in the playoffs.....Chargers are more competitive and more importantly one of about 3 teams that can beat the Chief-lettes. Miami doesn't have it, and unfortunately the Chargers may first play the Bengals. Best scenario for a Chiefs loss would be Chargers, Bengals, Bills gauntlet. Texans did not follow the Bengals blueprint for Mahomeless - you must contain his leak-outs, which he usually resorts to when the secondary does their job. Bengals used Trey Hendrickson to neutralize him on his runs, and Hendrickson did an outstanding job in that sublime beat-down last year.

On the NFC, I'm pulling for the Lions as a secondary upstart unless they play the 49ers. The Giants are a little more problematic for 49ers than Commanders with a star running RB and running QB dual threat. I like Purdy but its asking alot for him to go deep into the Playoffs with his lack of experience. Its possible though. He's gonna have to lead the offense to 24+ pts consistently against the top teams starting against the Giants, Lions, or Commanders..

49ers are expected to win 23-16 over the Commanders. That sounds about right, or maybe 27-20. As long as the 2nd home game is up for grabs in the playoffs, they should play their starting complement.

Greenlaw deserved a spot too but that's already half our offense and defense getting mentioned so someone was going to get left out. We're going to the Super Bowl anyway so it's irrelevant, right? :)

People getting a little too excited about Brock Purdy lmao
He's getting the chance of his lifetime right now. I will say I'm more excited for the team at this point than any since the last Superbowl game. A bit worried that he has a terrible game during 1 of the playoff matches. Might be able to get away with one against the Giants or Lions but none after. The secondary is still questionable. Commanders are a very good tune-up game for Purdy. They are desperate to make the playoffs and have a good defense and pass-rush. Unleashing Purdy for lots of throws during the game is good prep because a loss now is good to find mistakes or bad habits before elimination games.

Vikings using up all their luck clinging to the 2 seed. Won’t have any left for the playoffs. Niners will get it if they win out. Don’t see the Vikings winning out

*knock on wood*

Up the gut or a play that starts 5 yards behind the line with a full back running to lateral it. No imagination to too much imagination for a 4th and 1 yard in the 1st quarter

You give it to the all/world talent you got for a slew of draft picks.

The third down play was especially annoying because the ref lingered and allowed the Washington defense to load in before the vanilla up the gut handoff to NOT-CMC.
