[Game] Kings vs Lakers, 12/21/2022 7pm Pacific 10pm Eastern

#92
Kinda annoyed the Kings aren’t stomping them after the Charlotte let down. Seems like one good rush could put them down but the Kings can’t seem to string together the stops
They’re an inconsistent team. Regardless of the outcome of this game this is a team that is going to be notorious for slow starts and multiple players having off nights in a single game pretty much all season. They are just missing that gear that other more successful teams seem to have.

Haven't watched the game yet, but an 8 point lead seems pretty solid. I know we're ready to be a powerhouse, but we sort of have to remember we're still learning how to be a "good" team. We've had 16 years of suck to wade through, it's not going to be an instant 30 win to 50 win turnaround (probably?)

I’m guessing Monk isn’t the “revenge game” type. He was lousy in both games vs Charlotte and the earlier game vs LAL. Though he does have a few nice dimes in this game.

Kings were trailing when I made that post. The 8 point lead is more like it

And just like that, things started clicking for us. Great end to the half. Domas with a quiet 5/11/3 and Fox with 10/2/3 mainly living at the free throw line. Up 8 at half and your two best players aren’t in full gear yet. Barnes really knows when to just settle things down and get an easy basket/draw a foul. His veteran experience is super helpful in this experienced, although young, team.

It takes months to develop real chemistry in a basketball team at any level: high school, college, or pro. That is why it is so important to peak at the right time, as the saying goes.

I am confident that the chemistry on this team will be awesome come February.

It was back and forth before we went on a late push with the Fox takeover. First run with the starters was rather frustrating as Lakers were hounding Domas, there were no calls, and he was getting noticeably frustrated as he'd get the ball whacked out of his hands from behind and there apparently were no fouls involved. Plus we didn't do much during LeBron's rest break which is where you would expect a lead to be built. Happy with 8 but it wasn't easy.

Whoever books these halftime acts in Sac… SMH

Trying to remember the last singer that wasn’t frequently off key. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a problem with their audio systems.
I am watching the NBC app so not seeing them (but do need to activate my LP code). Most singers in an arena should have in ears though, so not sure you can blame the house.
