Y'all have been complaining about Fox all night but Malik Monk has legitimately had a worse shooting performance than him
Fox has been mediocre for over a month now. I went back and checked and he got that bone bruise at the beginning of November. How long does it take to recover from a bone bruise, anyway? I'm just wondering what my expectations should be going forward. Is this something that could last until the All Star break?

Carmichael Dave just said it best, "Kings are a good team, Bucks are an elite team, nothing to be upset about"
And that's why the Kings coaching staff has to stick to a gameplan on the defensive side. This might have been a test to see if they can stretch out and do some other things but in the process they went back to that 27th defensive rating team and let a Bucks team scoring 112 per put up 126. A ton of those rebounds were specifically because through the help scheme the Kings were taking a body off the boards on their end.

well we are 0-13 against them most recently so that’s what 6.5 years? He’s been in the league 10 years so prob pretty good record
Kings not being able to beat the Bucks in any season, even if by luck and accident, immediately reminds me of that time when the Kings had the longest losing streak against the Heat and that was even before Bron went there

I think we are just speculating at this point on whether he is injured. Unless someone official come out and say so then yea we don't know
Yea hes playing so bad we think hes injured. Except he doesnt look injured 100% of the time. Just the time when hes not playing aggrssive. Id say the only think hurt is his drive

yeah, the Kings aren't at that point yet where they can be expected to beat the Bucks/Celtics of the world. Maybe in another year or two when the team concepts have gelled a bit more and the roster is a little more built out.

The Kings have taken a big leap into being a legitimate playoff team thus far this season, which is pretty much the best case scenario. Taking a leap from picking fourth in the draft to "legitimate NBA title contenders" in one offseason is unheard of (unless you're the Warriors and were sitting out your best players for most of the season).

When he got the bone bruise I looked up recovery time and they said typically more than a month. I was surprised to see him back so soon. Maybe rest doesn’t help with recovery and it’s a pain or discomfort management thing?

I thought it was stated that he has a bone bruise in his right knee. He hasn't looked the same after that so one you would assume that is still slowing him down or at least in his head.

He won Western Conference player of the week three weeks ago.

Well, it has been more than a month. Sometimes I wish coach would just sit him until he's fully recovered. It's like I'm watching an injured person playing to avoid the discomfort that you're talking about.

How do you stop a guy that takes 2 steps to get from the three point line to the rack haha.

if he could hit the three consistently he would be a poor man’s Victor
I watched Victor's highlights on YouTube and had to take off my glasses because just the sight of him restored my eyesight to youthful 20/20 perfection and then my bad knee stopped aching and I suddenly had a 40 inch vertical.

25 second chance points. That was the constant throughout the game. Kings weren’t getting a lot of stops and when they did they don’t get the board.

Sabonis played very well. Bucks didn’t overcommit to defending him. Maybe because Lopez is such a good rim protector or they were picking their poison. As a result the Kings weren’t getting the kind of perimeter looks they are used to.

I wanted the Kings to employ a similar strategy vs Giannis. Let him eat, try to limit Lopez, Middleton, and friends on the perimeter but they actually tried to slow Giannis down. Jrue ate too so it’s probably moot.

Good showing by Keegan and Barnes as well. Huerter was OK.

Kings should have a solid road trip if they for the most part play like they did tonight. Not everybody is the Bucks.

Kings would’ve beat a lot of good teams tonight

i am surprised they haven’t sat him for a bit but he has largely been pretty good in other facets. His Defense over this stretch has been pretty good and he has still had impactful offensive games. Unfortunately for us, we have to have 25 and above from him when we are taking on teams like the Bucks.

I know we all want to win them all, but it was really just one 5 minute stretch in the fourth that put this out of reach. I agree that Fox is not playing well right now -- he's settling for long jumpers instead of attacking and he's taking plays off on defense. I don't know what it will take to get him right again, but I think we have the depth at guard to give him some games off if that's what he needs.

I guess that was his last gasp. Unless he got re-injured with the bone bruise just after his great week it makes no sense to me. He's playing like just another guy out there, not like De'Aaron Fox.

Ouch, coach just called our defense “something out of a glorified pick up game”.
Yeah The defense was spotty, but they did pick it up....that's an overreaction. I think they had an ok defensive game.....but a poor rebounding showing., unless you count rebrounding as defense. - yeah then it was poor. I think Len could've helped, with rebounding but Brown doesn't wanna mess with the lineup.
