The Tankathon Thread (since that's apparently what this is now)

They're 4 up on us in the win column. Essentially secures 7th as the lowest we can fall:

5th: 42.1% top 4 || #1 OVR: 10.5%
6th: 37.2% top 4 ||#1 OVR: 9%
7th: 32%% Top 4 || #1 OVR: 7.5%

Pacers 1 game up on us and we're currently 1.5 ahead of the Blazers.
San Antonio has Portland, Portland and Houston in their last 8 which gets them to likely max 49 losses and we are sure to lose at least 2 more games which puts us at 50.

As said in the other thread, the team to watch about passing us is Washington not San Antonio

No it really isn't. And if you had any conviction, you'd charity bet it right now, instead of waiting for the context to drastically change in your favor over the next week (meaning we go 3-0, and Wash goes 0-3). Can't have a take and then not take action on it until the context of the initial bet drastically changes.

I'll give you 1.5-1 odds. So my $150 to your $100 to the charity of the others choosing. That should compensate your (30-40%) you stated in the other thread?

hmmm. Now you are talking. 2-1 odds?

Nah, 1.5-1. I'll give you to the start of the Wizards game to book. If you think your odds are actually 30-40% to win, that's more than compensated here.

Terms: Kings will not fall below 7th in lotto odds this season. If they tie, I'm fine with calling a push since "tied for 7th" is not technically a win for either side with our bet

My $150 to your $100 to the other person's charity of choice.

Lemme know!

Nope at this point I want 2:1. If your are so certain that should be plenty enough odds

No pushed any goal post. I told you the odds I would take. Take it or leave it.
I gave you better odds already; I'm not the one who has to "take it or leave it". That's on you for having weak-minded conviction on your take after I already gave you significantly improved odds.

Looks like your bet would have been dead the first game anyway, so saved yourself some cash. Wizards up 9 with 2:14 to go. Congrats!

For all the handwringing over the King's handling of the end of this season, we are basically going to land where we deserve, 7th. The Spurs, Wiz, Knicks and Pels have basically eliminated themselves from the top 7. The only teams we could potentially catch or hold off are the Pacers (who have been ahead of us most of the season) and the Blazers (who would throw Weekend with Bernie out there if they could). 7th is a pretty good spot to land with a Fox and the Ox core. Hopefully we jump up but if not, I hope we can find a plus starter or trade the pick.

I've said it before but if its outside the top 4, I'd offer Barnes, a 22 pick swap and a 23 first for Collins. Take Ogbaji with that first from Atlanta and sign a decent 3 and d wing in free agency (say a Caleb Martin type)

Fox Mitchell
Ogbaji DDV
Martin Davis?
Collins Lyles
Sabonis Dame

you are the one claiming an absolute not me. And I tend to only bet things that I think are a sure thing.

The Spurs are probably going to overtake the Lakers for the last play in spot right? They play Houston, Memphis, Weekend at Bernie's twice, Denver and then Minnesota. Could see them going 4-2 The Lakers have Dallas, Utah, New Orleans, Denver, Phoenix and Golden State coming up. 2-4 or worse seems likely.

Would now be a good time to bring up the fact we have the tie breaker over the Spurs?

What about the lakers? I’d be all for tying for the 10th spot with them and knocking them out. Ain’t gonna happen but it’s the next best thing to bring 9/10 and knocking them out in the playin game.

Serious question. Is this the worst team one game roster in NBA history? When Isaiah Roby is far and away the best player you're playing on a given night, you have serious problems. If it's not, I'd like to see someone find a worse

OKC throwing us a huge solid. The Blazers are still incredibly bad, but they're still running out guys who have been NBA players before. McLemore, Eubanks, Dunn,

Alright, assuming Spurs win tonight they will be 5 above Sac I believe. With 6 remaining for us, and them playing Portland TankBlazers twice more, we safe from the play-in. Now to just at least get 7th worst #Onward

Great. Seriously they just need to be out of play-in contention asap.

That way there's zero excuse to keep pushing for wins.

Hope Monte steps in, after all, it is his job that's going to be in jeopardy if the Kings still aren't good a year from now.
