Trade Deadline Thread

If that second is Houston’s it might as well be a late first as well. And we’ll see how late that CLE pick ends up being. Could easily end up more like 18-20 than 25.
They're currently tied with Utah and the Bucks for the 6th best record in the league but I don't really see them slipping that much even if the Levert deal backfires somehow. They didn't even have to give up anyone of value to their core rotation for him

Indy doesn't have to take a long-term deal back, which I think adds value to the trade a bit. Expiring+3 picks is a pretty decent haul I think.

Sets the market for Barnes imo. Him and LeVert are in a very similar tier.
They had to give a second rounder up this year to make it work though so they pretty much just got a first and a second for Levert.

Still, not too shabby. Upgrade the Miami 2nd to Hou 2nd, a FRP that likely conveys this season and a clean cap sheet break. If your goal is reset, it's a good deal.

win-win for both sides though. LeVert plugs the only real hole the Cavs have as shot maker/complimentary wing scorer to Garland.

Makes you wonder though, who would be interested in Beal (assuming The Beard lands in Philly) at the super max? Also on his end, he wouldn't leave the Wiz unless it's for a better on court opportunity. Sign and trade to Denver for MPJ and Murray? I can't think of any great fits. Orlando has the cash and some assets but I don't think he would want to join an upstart.

The best path for the Wiz might actually be to trade for a Sabonis type but if they trade Deni and some picks for Sabonis, what are they left to build a team with?

I dunno man, Bouknight just hasn't looked like an NBA player aside from that one random game when he turned into Steph against the Kings. Would much rather get Washington, a lesser prospect (McDaniels/JT Thor) and a pick (preferably the NO pick from this season but that might be asking too much) than Washington and Bouknight.

I hope Bouknight pans out as an NBA player and not a Quincy Douby revisit.
Perhaps though I just get a bit excited about a serious youth movement.

Rumor is they originally wanted at least 2 frp. They settled. Maybe they might settle for a lower asking price for sabonis or Turner
Or maybe they felt they could get more for Turner and Sabonis than they initially thought so they went with that Levert deal.
