Huh?

Cousins was the last Kings player to make an all-star team (he made four, two with the Kings and two with the Pelicans) and twice was on the all-NBA 2nd team while in Sacramento. He was in line for a super max contract until he had another meltdown and Vlade dealt him for Buddy and NOP's 1st.

I'm not comparing Boogie to Sengun but you seem to be moving the goalposts a lot in trying to find reasons not to draft him. Which is the only reason I find myself in the odd position of defending him. I've actually been a Jalen Johnson guy since before this last college season even started but all the chatter I'm hearing makes me think some of the red flags are significant. And that's on top of the holes in his actual game.

So I don't know who my favorite pick is at #9. But if it's Sengun I wouldn't be disappointed.

I think the only guys that would really disappoint me would be Giddey, Mitchell or a reach like Trey Murphy.
And Cousins was basically ousted because Vlade didn't bit the bullet by either removing the coach in his way, or the player in the way of the coach and in the end it imploded. Yeah, fail.

So if I'm following your logic from the previous post, another reason not to draft Sengun is because the new GM might not decide between him and the current coach and things will go badly?

No, I'm saying the history of ANY Kings big based around skill and that didn't totally fit didn't end well dating back to Spencer Hawes. The coaching thing is different but as of now it seems Fox WANTS Luke so you have to do what you have to do. Luke is a good guy at least. Karl wasn't F'n around with anyone at that point.

Kinda got played again? I had a feeling the Lakers were using him to get some traction elsewhere. To his credit though, this ALL might have been total BS. Doesn't matter though. This is going to happen with the way the Bogdan deal went down. Having a rep as a total amateur takes time to shrug off.
Yeah, I don’t know about that part of him being played.

That Bogdan deal was rank amateur so at this point people can use them as a culprit to spin their plan, which might have been the case all along, who knows. Fact is nobody questioned it and/or the Kings interest despite a lot of fans not believing why the Kings would do it.
