Well I think the bigger point here is that the players themselves might not be the problem. Cory Joseph just had another big game against the Clippers. Nobody is mistaking him for an All Star or anything but all season we watched him dribble around aimlessly looking like he's only vaguely familiar with organized basketball. It's an affliction which has creeped into all of our guards in some form or another and it points back to some fundamental issues with our offensive sets. We had a couple of stretches this season where shots were falling and we piled up assisted baskets but were let down by our defense. By and large though we basically have one or two action sets and then guys are expected to just improvise from there. That might work in small doses but it's not going to work if you replace a large chunk of the rotation with new players or if you can't consistently space the floor with high percentage shooters or if the defense knows your sets and beats you to your spots.
