Bags is fine. He needs time to wok on his shot, which looks like he should be able to shoot 35% ish. Holmes on the other hand?
No one player is the issue, again, it's the combos. I heard small ball and spread ball with 3's as the emphasis. What in the heck about this combo says that? I'd be shocked if it weren't so easily predictable.

To be fair, I don't think Holmes will finish this year with the Kings. And the only appropriate partners for Bags is Bjelly or Kaminsky, if we're spreading the floor.

Well, it won't matter. The problem of not being what they said they were will persist and that's playing traditional big lineups without the shooting you need to spread for Fox and Bagley. Bjelica I can somewhat understand, he's a shooter but again, defensively they are doing what they've always done, overplay the middle and run out to shooters while they get whatever looks they want. This isn't what Monte was selling. This is what Luke has already given. We'll see if it works this time but I can see how teams are going to eat the Kings alive again if they attack those weak points.

Monte signed Whiteside to play goalie in their current defensive system. The current offensive and defensive schemes, I don't put that 100% on Walton. It's 33/33/33 on Walton, McNair, and Vlade.

Playing big, non spread, non switch lineups is on him. That was the gameplan. Not high post opportunities for the bigs and traditional lineups. Every bit of that is on Walton because as some have brought up, this is mostly the same thing they did last year on both ends.

When Buddy and Kyle are out there they can help the lack of spacing a little. They are getting some serious chemistry together in this preseason.
