Well for those of you 49ers fans, you can enjoy the night by 1cm ........ getting close to the point where I stop worrying about the Kings.....just not worth it. No reason to fret, just let it go as a sports-fan tragedy. Unfortunately its a sad regression....

Another Kings loss you could largely attribute to an inept defensive showing. The fact that all of a sudden the team is giving Giles minutes suggests to me that they are dangling him out there as trade bait.

I oddly find myself almost relieved we lost again tonight somehow hoping that it will lead to Vlade getting his walking papers tomorrow morning. IDK.
I can allow myself to fully invest back in the team once he’s canned, so I’m actively rooting for it. :::shrugs:::

I could see Bagley being that guy. With time, health, and work. He has the offensive upside.
I can't.

Bagley looks like a lemon. As soon as one part is heals, another goes out.

We fans will keep hoping the injuries will cease, but odds are they won't. IMO, some players just seem to rarely be injured while others never clear the hurdle. Nearly a year and a half in to his career, I'm concerned that Bagley is one of those forever injured players.

Does Vlade deserved to be fired? Many believe so. My only problem with it is that it likely means a new coaching staff too. As we all know, a new GM brings their own ideas, philosophies, and coach. More instability. When will it ever stop?

Can't keep hitting the eject button every few years.

Instability is better than incompetence. At least with the instability there’s a chance on that next time. I can’t ever see Vlade doing this correctly.

That and the fact that two of our best players have been injured most of the season, and the new coach has had to try to piece things together. Has a bit to do with the state of things.

Stupid Vlade for drafting Fox who sprains his ankle during the same time that Bagley is recovering from a broken thumb within the beginning of the brand new headcoaches tenure. Thanks Vlade!!

Yeah, it was Vlade who single-handedly who jumped to #5 in a 5 person draft. I will give him credit for not botching that one by taking Markkanen or Issac or DSJ though.

The Kings are like 30 games into the season and Holmes/Bjelica are our two best players by a wide margin the rest of the team is not pulling their weight.

I said in the Buddy/Bogie thread that I think Malik Beasley who the Nuggets want to trade if he got the shots/playing time that Buddy gets is a way better overall player, he's an elite athlete and can shoot, the Kings need to try find a way to get him and he's on a TJ Warren-isqe contract great value.

Also Bjelica trade value for a team like Houston would be through the roof now the Kings need to move him he's too high IQ player (very low IQ for letting Vlade con him into coming here) to be playing on this team and should be a playoff team he can help in the twilight of his best years.

How’s Harry looked?

Rusty but skilled would be my guess.
Pretty much. Passing was on point. Set hard screens, which set up either he or his teammates for open looks. Got robbed of an and 1 when his shot attempt was a goal tend but the officials missed it.

Defensively he had the best DRTG of any King but I don't know how that happened because he looked pretty bad on that end to me. Got called for a couple BS fouls. Plumlee was backing him down and apparently Harry's chest fouled Plumlee's elbow. He got bulled big time by Plumlee and Jokic just due to the difference in size. The one thing that really annoyed me was he did zero boxing out on the boards and it basically negated his offensive performance because he kept allowing them to grab offensive boards.

Walton saying that he was going to play Harry against Denver because of the matchup had me scratching my head. Plumlee is a really strong dude. Why would Walton think that's a good matchup when he could have gone up against Diallo/Kaminsky and Vonleh the last two games? I don't believe him. I think he just gave into the pressure he was getting lately. Could also be a slap in the face to Dedmon.

The Kings won 39 games last year. They finished the year poorly, but not this poorly. I think its becoming clearer that they should not have bailed on Joerger and instead tried to hybridize their run offense rather than scrap it. They've done well to focus on defense, but have neglected their offense, or with the FA changes and personnel cannot find or figure out a consistent offensive showing. At this rate they might win 28 games or so. They might as well go all-in development time for James and Giles if they cant be competitive which looks the case.

I'm sorry but how are some of you fine with rooting against your own team just because you don't like someone in the organization? Albeit he's the one in charge, but still... do you love winning/success more than your team?
False argument. We want the team to succeed. So we don't like the people who make decisions that avoid success. We're you defending Pete when he was here? Nobody can face criticism if they work for the kings?

I thought the Kings played pretty well last night. They looked a little gassed at the end. Buddy's defense is still very suspect. Barnes needs a game off, he looks exhausted. I hope these guys can persevere through the bad stretch. I hope behind the scenes isn't as bad as it might seem right now.

The continuing Kings saga reads more like a dark comedy.

I'm talking about this particular...

Is this not the sentiment of rooting for your team to lose just so someone in the organization will quit? How is that false argument? I can hate certain people in the team I root for (see avatar) but I will not actively be rooting for the failure of the team just so it will prove that the people I dislike are responsible so they will exit themselves in the equation.

If nothing else, I'm rooting for myself to be wrong about these people.

Fox would be lighting the league on fire if healthy. He hasn't played much and been able to get in a rhythm with all of our new guys, unfortunately. We already have a perennial all star on our hands IMO
