George Hill is mad. (Twitter)

I'm glad I don't come here anymore and discuss Kings' matters.
Delusional fan base Kings fans have become.

If you are offended, you probably are one of them.

To me this whole discussion needs to be in the strategy thread. Kings fans can’t blame Vlade for what happened 5 years ago but they can blame him for poor and inconsistent strategy execution.

That’s my biggest concern I can’t follow the strategy. Is it to make the playoffs? With what roster is that possible. Is it to tank? Why are we playing Randolph 34 minutes a game and why ditch vets who wanted to help the team grow for ones who wanted to make the play-offs.

This team can’t get on the same page to save their soul and that starts with Vivac and follows to Vlade.

Hill is garbage. Hopefully some cusp contender is willing to take on that dude's bloated contact, don't think we'll get much for him, but you never know.

I'm not ready to turn on Vlade yet, gotta see how the kids turn out, but a lot of his moves have been iffy. We should have gone full Hinkie this year with youth, then load up on vet mentors next season when we don't have a pick.

Oh well.

The amount of money Vlade gave George Hill is insane and they have the RIGHT to expect a lot more.

Hill is making more money this year than Boogie ever made with the Kings and Boogie has 10X more talent!

So if anyone should be upset, it is NOT George Hill, it is the Kings front office and THE FANS for the pedantic and futile performance of George Hill!

Memo to Mr. Hill: The fans have seen Darren Collison play, and you sir, are NO Darren Collison!

You command and take 20M per year over the next two years, then go out and perform to level of 10 PER, then have the audacity to take games off for personal reasons?!?!

Excuse me, but unless some immediate family member has an advanced malignant tumor in their brain or something of this serious nature then you should be suiting up and busting your butt to get us some wins!

What is so dire and consequential that has caused you to be conspicuously absent for 2-3 games in one quarter of the season?! Wow, talk about taking the money and hiding!

If we wanted a guy to pound the ball into the floor then feed the ball into Z-Bong and get out of the way, we could have called a G-Leaguer for 300K. We gave you 20M to do more than this!!!!

Now last night we had 15 assists and 21 turnovers, so perhaps the absence of Mr Hill was felt adversely, and perhaps we could have been more competitive with his presence, but we will never know because he could not grace us with his presence!!!!

Sorry but I am sick of these prima donnas......get George Hill out of town, I'd rather watch LaVarr Sampson and his non-stop hustle and fight any day of the week!!!

That's the biggest BULL---- article I've read in some time now.

That is all.
The Yahoo article was just a reference to an opinion piece from the Salt Lake City commentator.

There is NO substance or definitive information here. Just speculation and lazy reporting.

This is when and where we could use a relentless beat reporter to find out what the hell is going on with George Hill.

But our beat reporter is Laker fan who likes fake entertainment (WWE). Pathetic!

Where are the investigative reporters and inquiring minds who grill Vlade and Joerger and the player to find out why our highest paid player is AWOL?!?!?!

To be fair to Scott Perry, he probably promised that thinking George Hill would average more than 9 points per game.

I also think the Kings would be more around .500 if George Hill was George Hill that played in Utah. I don’t think Perry was totally off in that regard.

Atleast Z-Bo seems to understand that his level of play is important to whether or not the Kings are going to win games. Meaning if Perry made promises, he isn’t as disappointed.

George Hill is the highest paid player and he’s disappointed that a bunch of rookies and sophomores aren’t ready to cover the vanishing act of who should be the Kings best player.

Don’t act like you did the Kings a big favor by taking all that money and being the third best PG and the third best SG on the team.

If George Hill is disappointed. He should imagine how we feel...and the front office guys who let Collison(who understood the process and STILL wanted to be here) walk feel. You don’t think they had expectations of you?

Kings are 1-0 in games in which George Hill plays well. So, maybe Perry was right.

Not that I like WWE because I don't, but are you saying that you don't enjoy fictional movies, tv shows, and/or books? Because a very large majority of the population does enjoy them, and you just called them pathetic :p

Yes I read the salt lake city peice that is what I was referencing but I was posting on the go. I don't think he's AWOL either whatever he's dealing with has been reported as personal so I'll leave it alone.

Um ... err...

There are unsubstantiated rumors floating around a couple of boards that I won't quote because they aren't corroborated that his personal issues might actually be in that very vein.

I agree with 90% of your post. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the part I disagree with is your assessment of Jason Jones. He's actually been doing a credible job of reporting on the Kings.

And again, our highest paid player is not AWOL. I'm pretty sure the front office knows what's going on...and I'm actually glad it hasn't leaked to the press, especially if what's been bandied about elsewhere turns out to be true.

George Hill's personal issues are just that...personal.

Anyone can just make up “personal reasons” is the issue. I had personal reasons for skipping all that high school.. At least some vague explanation is owed to the employers/fans.. I also think it’s funny timing with December 15 coming up and his tweet

I might as well put out an article and say I spoke to "sources".

According to my sources, Kosta Koufos may be traded by the trade deadline......because of reasons......and stuff.

As much as we fans feel the need to know everything about our team, we do not deserve an explanation for a player dealing with personal reasons. I am sure that his employers are well aware of what is going on. As to the timing, this is the 2nd time he has done this. So it is probably just a coincidence.

Unless you're a part of the front office, it' pretty silly to insinuate that his "employer" hasn' been made aware...

As to the article, I don't buy it. Vlade has been very clear since the off season started that this season was NOT about wins and losses. That should tell anyone that they are not thinking about the playoffs. OTOH, that doesn't mean they are tanking either. Both Vlade and Joeger said early on that this season was about developing the young players. Obviously not everyone here agrees with how they are going about that, but that is a stated goal for the season.

I mean, I’m not necessarily calling for something super specific if it’s of a serious nature, but to just in general distinguish it. If it’s family illness... It may be my vantage but it doesn’t seem to be commonplace for it to just be left as personal reasons without media getting some type of gist of it..

Goal: To develop a team that competes for the playoffs in three years.

Strategy: Primarily obtain talent through the draft; secondarily obtain vets in FA who assist young talent in developing their talent and work habits in order to achieve goal. Premise: Accumulating minutes played in a non-stop series of devastating losses will not assist youngins in developing their games, but will instead habituate them to losing, contributing to defeatism and lack of confidence, which in turn will not allow for the Goal to be achieved.

Tactics: Play young talent in order to win games, not primarily to accumulate their minutes in a skills development camp; winning is the goal during the season, even if it is known that the inexperience is not going to allow for .500 ball until three years' time. Vets will be played to both win games and assist youngins in learning how to win games. Use G league to provide experience to young players not getting minutes in the big league.

There it is. The Vlade goal, strategy, and tactics.

Vlade spent like 40M this season on free agents (12M Z-Bo, 20 M Hill, 7M Carter) so if this season was NOT about wins, that was quite a waste of money.

Many fans on this board including myself were practically begging for Jonathan Simmons who could have been had for for 3/18 or slightly more.

As well as Z-Bo as played , I would trade Simmons and cap space (30 to 35M) in exchange for all three signings in a heartbeat.

That cap space could easily retrieve a nice asset or first round pick heading into the trade deadline. And Simmons would be our best wing player and quite the complement to our youth.

I have said this before: Vlade and company may very well stumble onto success. But it won't be because they took the most direct route.

Okay show me the team that has successfully used this strategy in basketball? Which model are we following?

Well said! Unfortunately, those who already have their minds made up will not hear you. They only hear what reinforces what they already believe.

If it were a typical player, I think I’d be more sympathetic to the “personal reasons”.

The “personal reasons” are happening to a player who is widely speculated to be unhappy here, not content with his role, who in general looks underenthused about playing here, as the date approaches closely the December 15 deadline where he can be traded and articles possibly involving sources from him pop up about him being betrayed by what the org told him

It’s a coincidence that he would have serious personal issues, as the rest of that profile was taking place.

It’s hard for some of us to take the personal issues too seriously when it seems evident that he wants out and his heart is not here

It would be unfortunate if something was truly going on, though.
