I am looking forward to the future if for no other reason than this is probably the end of dualism. For 7 years the narrative has been "The Kings and DMC" or "DMC and the Kings" as if they were connected, but 2 different entities. The endless debate has been "who is more dysfunctional, the Kings or DMC?"
The truth is that there is no distinction between player and team and organization. I am hoping that this trade will lead to a monistic view of the team that we all near to our hearts. There is only "The Kings."

When you're a fat bald slob with pimples covering your chair shaped ass, and you lose -- not only lose, you in true "would not hit" fashion actually break up with --- your slightly crazy supermodel girlfriend, you should be bawling in your stacks of empty Oreo wrappers and pizza boxes about the "loss of dualism". because the worthwhile part of your particular duet just walked out the door, and you're just a lump of crap that nobody gives a crap about. Nor should they.
As an aside, every truly great player creates a "<player> and the <team>" relationship. It is in fact the HEALTHIEST thing in the NBA. When you've got a guy good enough to be a "and the" player, then and only then do you matter. James Harden and the Rockets will be facing off with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder in the playoffs, just as Charles Barkley and the Suns used to run into Karl Malone (or StocktontoMalone) and the Jazz. Meanwhile the Kangz can sit at home in front of their computers surfing for internet porn along with all the other starless nobodies that nobody gives a bleep about.
