I'm especially nonplussed about what our offense is supposed to be. It seems to just be a random collection of unconnected events. I have no idea what the theory is, what the plays are, or anything else. Stuff just sort of happens.

(maybe) plus side... Isn't his contract void-able after the season?
Yeah...I kind of doubt that Ben wants to come back next year. The Kings have his rights, but I wouldn't be surprised if both parties decided to equally part away. I doubt he gets PAID though. Probably ends up on like a 2 year $6m deal with PO or something similar.

Hey, it looked like something at the start of the second quarter. Then Matt Barnes and our guards got a little shot happy and things got out of hand.

If that's what he winds up getting and I'm Vlade, I'm matching that no questions asked. 2 years at 6 million dollars is a bargain in the modern NBA.

Kings starters, at halftime of an NBA game:

Cousins 9pts 3reb 4ast

Gay 2pts 2reb 2ast
Koufos 1pt 3reb 0ast
Afflalo 2pts 0reb 1ast
Lawson 3pts 2reb 0ast

swell

This Kings team is unpredictable. Our bench looks good sometimes, but sometimes it doesn't. Afflalo shows up like every 3 games...
Sometimes Ben makes his shots, sometimes he doesn't.

Coach is still experimenting with lineups though

You're probably right. He's been through some **** in good ol' Sacramento.

I'd love for him to finally turn into a real player here though... Always had a soft spot for McBen despite the maddening inconsistency .

Yeah, you're right. Kings might match that because Ben is still young in NBA age and he has potential left in the tank. I guess I was thinking more of Seth Curry...then I forgot Curry is already 26 and was undrafted.

Ben will be a unique situation once FA comes. If he plays the way he did the first 5 games...I think he's going to get at least 10m somewhere.

His QO is going to be one year at $5.375M, so I don't think he'd sign a deal for 2/$6M - at least not if we give him the QO.

Wouldn't be surprised if he left simply to get away from the fan hate he's received since he was drafted. Deservedly or not, he's been absolutely abused by the fan base and media here. Hard to love a place that doesn't love you back.
