They look so bad without Stockton running the floor. It's not that Retin/Haggins can't handle the ball, but it's the fact that they don't know how to run an offense at all.
It's a real pity Stockton is not about 4/6 inches bigger we might have a point guard for the seasons. I like what I see but I don't think he's NBA ready I don't think will be.

Am I the only one who is mad about Papa John's being fouled when he was backing the guy down? I literally yelled NO! I want to see what he can do, lol.

A few plays later he does a nice hook. Nice!

for those of you trying to say Trill has been a disappointment are a bit off base here, he will look way better playing next to a player like Cousins rather than the defense focusing in on him more...I still have no doubt he will get that jump shot down pat and I'm willing to say it won't be too long before that happens.

I haven't watched the game but all I'm hearing in this thread is Malachi this, Malachi that...he must of really had a turn around game compared to his first one versus Toronto

He showed some flashes that first game too.

What he does do looks very good and professional, and physically he is just rock solid for a SG. He's a legit prospect to stash back there on the bench.

LOL .. yeah, somebody out there is bound to think he's all world.

Dude played 3 years in college and had a small window to experience the NBA last season. His experience level is much higher than pretty much everyone on the Kings roster sans WCS. Certainly much greater than Papa, Malachi and Skal.

Something tells me that once any of those 3 have the equivalent experience as Dekker, they'd likely look just as good if not better.

TBH, this team in SL looks horrible.
The offensive ineptitude is embarrassing.

I'm sick to death of being embarrassed by this team (even in SL), and this does not bode well for the season.

-- best guy on the night was Malachi. Not best in the Skal "intriguing talent" sort of way either, but best as in looked like a pro who might be able to contribute this year
-- 2nd best guy on the night was Stockton, who we signed this morning. Tells you what you need to know. Especially with all the picks we spend on bigs

-- Skal didn't get to show as much this time. Low FG% a little deceptive as he kept being put in impossible situations
-- Big Papa answered the can he create/does he have a post game question by very slowly trying to execute basic my high school gym teacher taught me this post moves after 20 dribbles trying to get to just the one spot where he practiced it from yesterday... in other words I continue to have real doubts of impact playerness. But he also did confirm that he is a big guy with unusual coordination and touch as a finisher. He can catch, gather, and finish softly. there's jut no evidence he can create that shot himself as opposed, say, to having a Rajon Rondo set him up for it.
-- Willie looked flat bad again. Taking the reins off has just resulted in random fluttering chaos to his game. Sooner he is back in a limited role with fewer things to focus on, the better.

Was pretty happy with what I saw with Papagiannis in his first game. He's a bit slow footed though. After injury Bogut in terms of quickness? Not too bad if you have him strictly at C. Still have to keep reminding ourselves that he's only 18 and this is his first game in the US. He seems to have very soft touch around the rim, but needs better footwork.

I don't think Skal is a NBA player yet...but it's the flashes that get us excited. I think he could be a real legit NBA player 3 years from now.

Richardson showing the killer instinct. His shot selection was really good today. Very active on both ends of the floor and going after rebounds. Very good all around game. He was a bit nervous with his FTs though, but nothing to fret about.

Stockton looks real nice. It's a shame he's not a bit bigger. Very high IQ with good sense of the floor. I saw a lot of hustle on defense, notable his block on GP3.

Willie...man. It's been a disappointment thus far with him... Loved him in the open court though. Great pass to Richardson.
