That being said, anything that brings Thibs in any sort of proximity to the Kings- hopefully some of that defense will seep into the pores.

Actually, instead of just laughing off the notion that it's Karl's idea, think about it a minute. What better way to give lip service to the "You need to focus more on defense" mandate than to invite a coach known for defense to "share ideas"?
It fits with my image of Karl's ego perfectly. What I'm hoping for is that Thibs plays along while laying the groundwork for a hostile takeover.

The Kings need help on defense. Thibodeau is one of the best defensive coaches in the NBA. It makes sense to hear some ideas from him.

It should also be noted that Thibs has ties to Cousins and Gay with Team USA, Rondo from time in Boston and Belinelli with the Bulls.
