Karl's stint in Sacramento didn't hurt his W/L % too much. Still one of the greats. We should be so lucky to have had a coach of his caliber. 50 Cal. The mack daddy. Naismith HOFer. See you in Springfield, George.

He needs to be let go, but at the end of the season. Why? Because they might hire another GM next season, and another year of this may drive off any established candidates, leaving the Kings to perhaps chose a coach with no HC experience. Cousins will run right over somebody like that.
LOL!

So that's what $10,000,000 gets you, huh?

**** his resume and everything he did in the past. It really means nothing to Kings fans at this point.

George Karl publicly campaigned for himself and got big fat pay check from a desperate franchise in the process. He's played our guys out of position all year and ran them into the ground. He was the last one on the planet to realize his game plan wasn't working at all. You have to be pretty damn clueless to not see that Cousins in the post is the only real shot this weak *** team has in winning any games. He's done a miserable job and any other team would have canned his *** months ago.

The more it all sinks in, the less I want to blame anybody. Karl is obviously not at a place in his career where he's gonna bend his own convictions and philosophies into a pretzel to fit DeMarcus Cousins. He's in a place where he goes in and installs HIS style/philosophy. He's paid his dues - and you should not hire George Karl unless you want a George Karl team.

Hiring him was unavoidable. the fans were going to burn down Sleep Train if Karl wasn't hired.

I will always believe that Karl agreed to come to the Kings only after extracting a promise from the GM (Pete) that DeMarcus would be shipped out. It is logical and explains everything that happened afterward.

When PDA was whacked - and DMC placed above George on the pecking order by Vlade, we were doomed to this outcome.

You can Monday morning QB this and say they should have got rid of Karl or Cousins pre-season. But Vlade was looking like Henry Kissinger getting those guys to try to work together. Who didn't hope that would work out? It looked like it for a little while there when we were 8th place in January for a second.

Just didn't work out. But I'm really not going to hate on Karl. He's my elder, and he's a heck of an accomplished man. I wish him well - hope he enjoys the money. I suppose my tickets are costing an extra buck or two because of him but, oh well... no regrets I enjoyed the ride. I enjoyed that first Celtics game and all that drama. I enjoyed this year's team immeasurably more than any of the previous nine.

God bless you George. Good luck Corliss!

Funny how we didn't see:

"Suns to fire Hornecek in the coming days"

"Knicks to fire Fisher in the coming days"

How unprofessional is this front office here in Sacramento? These clowns have no class. This team is completely ****ed from the top down.

Guys, chill. There's probably a good reason for the delay. Considering tanking still isn't an option, they want to make sure they get the right coach in for the rest of the season, even if its an interim

The last front office, most definitely. We don't know the source of these "leaks." It hasn't seemed like too much as gotten out since Vlade has been here. Could be mistaken (on how many leaks have come from his office).

Possibly the intent was for him to finish the road trip and be let go when getting home. Rather than, "catch your own flight home." Once out though, this delay doesn't help.

No he got thrown a large sum of guaranteed money

He's a very hot commodity. Kind of ridiculous you just said that even though only a year and a half earlier he lead Denver to 57 wins without a clear star player, and won coach of the year.

He's one of the greats.
Well the nice thing about sports is all the opportunity to prove or disprove what you have written is out there. Funny thing is is that Coach Karl may succeed in the right situation. But here in Sacto he has been abysmal. Fire the poor guy already, put him out of his misery:)

Again, what he did in Denver still got him fired. My take is people are mistaking current ability for past performance. But you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

He's a hot commodity? Well, we'll all see once he leaves Sacramento just how hot he is as there are several slots going to be open for a new proven head coach.

Bottom line for me is that this needs to be over...now. It's not fair to anyone - players, coach, fans - to see it drawn out any longer.

Very true comments. I would not be surprised to find out the source of the leaks is none other than George Karl himself, who played the social media game a year ago like a true virtuoso. For all we know, PDA is using this opportunity to help GK make the whole situation look more ridiculous and embarrassing than it already is.
