Beat LA!!!

Ben needs to take every shot he gets... I wouldn't be mad if he took Kobe shots...(terrible shots). He just needs to shoot it with confidence.
I am convinced that whatever is going with Ben, it's mental. He's lost that edge that he had in college and in the beginning of his first season. His poor play has killed him. It's why I think a reserve role is best for him so expectations aren't too high. I think he's one of those guys that feels horrible about playing horribly, which in turn makes everything worse.

We've got the talent to be a damn good team this year. Even with several of our pickups disappointing (Caron, Acy) we've got other guys like Anderson and Moreland showing they can play at this level. If we can just sort out the proper way to use our stars, we've got a lot talented guys. Even opposing announcers are commenting on this being our most talented team in a decade.

Some of my takeaways; 10 blocks puts a big smile on my face, 66% FT % does not, 10 turnovers = another big smile. We played well against a bad team in preseason but I still like what I see.

If what you say is true and I don't disagree - it's worse than all that. It shows McLemore does not have innate intelligence and maturity necessary to adapt his obvious athletic skills for NBA excellence. He might "get it" at some point but sand in hour glass running out fast as he flounders in mediocrity and we are all left to just wonder about Kings high draft pick - bust?

Lamar Odom was just pronounced dead. :/
Wow, that's horrible. I heard about his condition earlier but was hopeful he would recover.

Edit: I found this on twitter

@RTNBA: According to TMZ, last reported at 1230 ET, Lamar Odom is still alive but breathing with help from machines. Still in critical condition.

...not a bust. It takes some guys years to figure it out..

It took Meyers Leonard 3-4 years to finally be a suitable/playable NBA player. He's now looking like an above average stretch big who can do it all.

It took Quincy Pondexter 5 years to finally become an average NBA player and he's now the starting SF for the Pelicans.

It took Jordan Hill 5 years to finally become an average NBA starter.

It took DeMarre Carroll 5 years to finally become an average NBA starter, and he's now one of the best 3&D guys.

It took Marreese Speights 4-5 years to finally become a decent NBA player.

It took Ryan Anderson 2-3 years before he finally broke out.

It took Kosta Koufus 4 years before he finally became an average NBA big.

All of these guys were 1st round picks and it's taken them a while to get where they are now. Maybe it'll be the same for Ben. He's only in his 3rd year, and maybe he can make a similar leap like Ryan Anderson did.

My point in all of this was to show that we shouldn't call Ben a bust after 2 seasons..nor should we give him up like a lot of people insist. Ben is not a waste of a roster space and I think we should just stick it out and develop him. We've already mortgaged the next 3 years... and by then, Ben will only be 25.

An underrated post judging by the likes it received. should be like 200 likes. Truth B.

I believe that once Karl gets this offense firing on all cylinders, McLemore will be able relax, get out of his head, and do his thing. I have faith in this coaching staff that we will see what this kid has come playoff time...
