Coudl be a game of significane for several guys.

1) Ben. Anderson could seriously pass him in the rotation. you can see Anderson efforting on defense, which Karl will note. And Karl is not above playing VERY limited perimeter guys who play defense.

2) Moreland. I would have said coming in that Acy was the 4th big, but he'; shown nothing at all. If Moreland can impress here, he could seriously take over that spot.

Though Marco is one of the bench unit's vital bare bones, I would not be surprised to see him starting quite a few games this year.

Well Moreland is impressing very much. He is active yet not out of control. He is pushing the limit of out of control but two blocks and is looking good on offense

That fork in Butler's back is really unfortunate though. May actually be what keeps the light on for Ben even if Anderson passes him. Two most ineffective players in preseason other than Ben have been Butler and Acy.

This is a good match-up to judge him on too. Bass is a big physical PF with a lot of experience. If he can hang with him, then there's pretty much no other bench big in the NBA who can take advantage of his frame.

Have you been watching Kobe though? Kobe pushed off of Ben to score one of his pts.. and you can't guard his step back jumpers..they're almost automatic. Ben isn't having a poor game....he's barely played!

You love seeing a guy play like this. He's selling out to try and win his spot. Just seems to have his hand in on every play. Even just knocking the ball out like he did helps as we get to set our defense.
