I do think we need to see this pairing and how it works.
I don't think we can start it during the regular season obviously, since 1 of them is our backup PG and defense becomes difficult. But especially if Ben is not going to come around, as I mentioned in the other thread I think we can at least take some of the pressure off that position if Rondo/DC can play together for 10-15 min a night. Then if Beli gives us 24 solid minutes there, we only have a small gap to make up. Still just be surviving, but at least it won't be a hole sucking us down.
Note BTW, something I mentioned last year is that Collison's 3pt comfort zone is as a corner 3pt shooter, not one up top. Also note that George Karl loves the corner three. But a corner three is an awkward weapon for a PG to have because he's not normally going to be stuck over there, and if he is, he's not going to be able to get back on defense on the break. But now put Collison at SG...and that's exactly how we found out Collison's comfort in the spot in the first place. He played SG next to CP3, went to the corners, let CP3 set him up, and drained those corner threes at better than a 40% clip. Rondo is that same level of facilitator.
