I'll remind again: what went wrong is 100% directly attributable to sabotaging owners. Let's all keep that in mind. They were more or less deliberately running the team into the ground, ok? There was no sincere rebuild. We can't talk about it as though this organization has been trying to rebuild for years and simply failed. It has not. It was angling for a move. Then, the new owner was incompetent and meddling and hired an incompetent GM who put his personal office politics game and buddy system ahead of the team. We FINALLY get a guy, inexperienced: granted, but we get a guy who is actively and sincerely trying to act in the best interests of the organization. And it's just in time. And he made big trade that gives him ability to try to make things better in a big way. And still, we have people trying to claim we've been ****ing up for a while now and we're ****ed, and we can't do anything right... don't you all see the story arc here? Vivek has FINALLY, through sheer embarrassment, ceded power to someone who is trying to help! It's the first time in probably 10 years that we've had a situation like this. So, if you don't like the trade, fine, you're entitled to that, but at least take a cue from Vivek, give the guy time, and trust him to do his job. Don't dismiss it outright... or at least, if you do, offer a reasonable alternative plan. One that doesn't involve tanking in the 2018 draft!!!!
