So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

Put the kid on a vegetarian diet! :) Seriously, he needs to lose another 40 lbs or so to be able to play in the NBA. I'm rooting for him. He'd make a nice backup center to Demarcus if he is able to lose the weight.
He may already be a vegetarian, so who knows. I know a crap ton of fat vegetarians and vegans. A low carb, high fat, moderate protein diet would take the weight off fastest, like the keto diet Lebron did last summer.

He's obviously working hard to get into NBA shape. I think we can leave the management of his weight, etc. to the guys who do it for a living.

I'm personally glad to see him improving. I really believe there may be a slot for him in the NBA at some point and it wouldn't hurt if it was with the Kings. :)

If Sim is 7'5" and 255, then Boogie is 200 pounds at most.

Then again, Ailene has never really been known for her ability to objectively judge the human body.
Yup. This has zero truth. Webber was ~250 as a 6'10" human being. As a 6'11", slightly larger and fatter human being, boogie is 270. Shawn Bradley, the 7'6" stick, was 270. So she's trying to say Sim is now closer to looking like Shawn Bradley than anyone else. Ridiculous. She covers sports for a living. She covers sports where the majority of the guys are huge men. I expect better. This is just sad.

I have to wonder if he's lost 40 lbs and is now down to 295 and AV just misunderstood and subtracted the 40 from his new weight... Regardless of what he now weighs, it is apparent he has lost some flab.

I am sure he's still over 300. She might have meant 350? She did forget to put the "b" in ball so she might have typed a 2 instead of a 3 in haste?

Pretty sure curry is the fastest way TO 270 pounds, not away from it.
Surely less fattening than Big Macs. The main spices found in most South Asian curry powders are turmeric, coriander, and cumin; a wide range of additional spices may be included depending on the geographic region and the foods being included (white/red meat, fish, lentils, rice and vegetables). Thus going light or cutting out white/red meat is way to go. I don't eat a lot of curry but never go for poor choice fast food like Big Macs. I much prefer seafood to any other type of meat. I also take twice a day turmeric supplement said to be anti-cancer fighter, key ingredient in curry.

You missed the part where those meats and spices are found in a delicious pool of creamy fatty liquid. Otherwise you're eating stir fry.

Sim should get called up for a 10 day when 5 games are left to see how much progress he has made compared to preseason.
Can they even do that? I thought there was a point where you couldn't sign 10day contracts anymore, and that the people on a 10day contract had to be released or signed for the rest of the year?

I may, and probably will be wrong...

A 10 day contract would be ~30k. A pro rated contract for the last 5 games of the year would be ~30k if I'm doing the CBA right. I'm not sure if rekehavoc123 knew that, but for all intents and purposes it'd work out the same.

Decided to check on Sim and take a look at Reno's new recruit, 27 y.o. Dar Tucker, who helped himself to 58-12 game on the strength of 11-22 3pt shooting. They talk a few minutes with Arsenault before every game:
Interviewer: "How are gonna beat your opponents?"
Arsenault gets into a long monologue about defense, stopping penetration and other irrelevant things
Interviewer: "What? Are you not going to talk about your high-octane offense?"

New directives coming from Sacramento?

Yeah there's no way he's 255
I think Voisin did a typo on twitter. In her article http://www.sacbee.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/ailene-voisin/article16700834.html

she says 355lbs. Damn 2 and 3!

355lbs is progress, but the fact that he weighed at 400lbs once is scary. I think an ideal NBA weight for him should be around 295lbs. At 295, he'd at least get a few more camp invites and SOME consideration as a bench big.
