I hardly even listen when Napear goes in that breathless, inciting tone of voice, urging the audience to listen close - I've been one of the guys who will bring up Napear's good points through the years, but he has a terrible track record (in my memory) whenever he does that kind of thing.
I don;t get why he does it, either - I assume his listener base is fairly unchangeable, and out of his control to influence - they tune in more when there's more interesting local team activity, and they tune out when the teams suck.
He doesn't really have to tease reveals - he has the entire franchise beat down his door to do interviews, he doesn't have to work hard to get his position - he's top of the local stack and has whatever access he wants (when he hasn't personally burned those bridges himself).
ANY tease that is more than one day is useless, in media. WAY too fast of news cycle to bother teasing that far out - and if he wasn't in charge of the release date of the info and has to wait for someone else to announce it, then he is being quite unprofessional in opening his mouth before they have given him a solid date.
