Game 39
Sacramento Kings versus Miami Heat

By Stephen Tetsu,

It's Hassanity! That's right, after two seasons of wasting space and time on the end of the bench in Sacramento (while also playing video games against Kings fans online, another Hassan Highlight) and two years of languishing in obscurity abroad during which Hassan at one point ballooned up to nearly three hundred pounds, everyone's favorite vacant faced, slack jawed idiot is now playing significant minutes for a playoff team* and succeeding.

*In the east, 17-22 is good enough for the 7th seed.

Of course, to this point, Hassan has never gone up against a monster of Demarcus's caliber yet. Well, of course, the two probably matched up against each other in practice but those probably didn't go well for Hassan or else he'd probably have seen some time on the court for the Kings instead of seeing time backing up JJ Hickson and Jason Thompson.

(Cutting this short because, no joke, I just burnt my hand on my rice cooker.)

Apparently I'm not supposed to stick my hand over the steam vent.
That's rice cooker 101, bro!

As far as the game... Good for Hassan, it seems like he's really turned it around. Its a shame he isn't beasting for the Kings, but there is no-one to blame but Hassan for that. He was beyond useless here, and deserved to be cut when he was.

Should be fun matchup tonight.

It's probably fair to say that he needed to be cut in order to arrive at his current situation.

with Wade not playing it's going to be a lot of Bosh and Deng chucking. Miami has Whiteside and Birdman to throw at Cousins but good luck with that...do not settle for jumpers here Cousins, please. Don't expect a loss here but if it happens...well it was just meant to be then.

Fun fact about Derrick Williams. He has 14 assists this year in 33 games. 0.4 per game. Don't worry, per 40 that projects to 1.2 per game.

Landry gets o.5. Combine them you still don't get a single assist per game in 32.1 mpg.

But Rudy is the selfish player, right?
oh my

Rudy is a scorer. But the dude really needs a good coach/system in place to make the best of his abilities. He was awesome with Malone, playing the best ball of his career (at least when he had Cousins to take some of the heat off - no pun intended).

Now? Not so much...

I expect Rudy to continue to display Torontoness (with occasional good games thrown in) until the FO pulls their heads out of their butts and gets us a decent coach (no Vivek, Jackson doesnt count as a decent coach).

There is a fine line between scorer and chucker. Rudy walks that line.

Could he be an all star caliber player for us again? Hopefully. That depends on the FO and coaching.

Don't disagree about Williams (Strongly disagree about Landry, but this is a debate I already had many moons ago when we signed Landry), but APG is not the way to make your point.

Scoring effiency, turnover rate, and the amount of possessions a player uses has to be factored in along with playmaking

Derrick Williams in the starting lineup WOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In that case, mark us down as 16-23. Opposing teams can easily game plan for our style of play when we start Williams. I wonder if Vivek at least waits until an appropriate time of day to text Corbin. Does Corbin always reply by using the smiley face with the tongue sticking out? The answer: Most likely.
