[Game] Game 29: Sacramento Kings vs. Phoenix Suns, 12/26/14. 7PM PST, 10PM EST

I disagree with you. I believe it would only be a wasted season for Rudy Gay. He's getting older and he was convinced that this team would be good this year.

I think if we did trade for Deron Williams, we would be a much better team than we are now. If he is healthy, he can be good. I think Cousins needs a good PG to play with. I don't think Collison really cuts it. I have no doubt in my mind that if we had a good or elite PG in our team paired up next to Cousins and Gay, the Kings would be a playoff caliber team.

This should only be a throw away season if one of our stars are injured for the majority of the season.

Who are players you think the Kings should trade for? I think we are good at SF and C, but everything else needs work.
Man I've been reading nets forums about DWill for some hope but they have brought up stats that show DWill doesn't get to the rim anymore add that with loosing defense in that deal and it's a loss. I also think it's a lost season for Boogie he saw with malone here we were winning and he gets canned for no reason and we start loosing. If we don't get 36+ wins he will be questioning the FO and start loosing him mentally when he was all in before. He has already called this "a sinking shop" with the rapper video he posted.

Bold:

I think we are set at those spots but include SG there too with Ben. Couple players I'd look into some I know are 0% happening cause of clown run/gun. I don't think we need to address pg we are fine with Collison.

In no order:
1. Wilson Chandler: an elite shooter who is a great defender at the 2/3 and isn't ball dominate.

2. Brook Lopez: I'd take him 10/10 over DWill espiscially if we have to give up DC/JT for him. Let lopez play 30mpg and teams would be forced to never go small. Our half court offense would be lethal. Who does your PF guard Lopez is huge you put blake/ZBo/GS PFs /Ibaka or Josh Smith on lopez/cousins and it would be barbacue chicken in the paint. With lopez only playing 30mpg DMC would be playing PF for 17mpg and with one of them always on the court we would always have a number 1 core on the floor. Nets are now running Plumlee out there so considering his injury history I'd offer Nik/Landry/DWill for him. If he can't stay healthy his contract expires next year and Nik can be replaced there's shooter in ever offseason. Of couste we want to go small so this ain't happening.

3. Gerald Green: elite shooter who can score of the bench and play 2/3 only getting 22mpg.

4. Thaddeus Young/K.Martin: landry can't get it done and MN needs shooting and you talent. If we are go small Young fits in at the 4 with Martin scoring off the bench. Offer Nik/JT/DWill if keep JT but don't think they want him here.

5. Jeff Green/ Brandon Wright: green another stretch 4 run/gun they want and weight has been talks he might be packaged to Cleveland for a 1st have him here to back up DMC. Offer Nik/DWill/ray.

Another frustrating lose, we just can't keep absorbing this amount of points from the opposing team, we just can't, it will be almost impossible to win that way.

The Phoenix Suns is a talented team no doubt about it, but there were some moments in the game where the Kings could take advantage and take the lead and weren't able to do it, I think the coaching was lacking in this game, like many others said, when Casspi and D-Will were playing together the Kings were looking very decent, Casspi brings out the best of D-Will, and therefore, the Kings were running, and were able to get some easy points, the Casspi and D.Will connection was very good this game and proved to be affective so why would you bench them both in the critical minutes, I just can't get it.

Casspi proved that when it really matters he can also guard SG's and PF's so I bet you could insert him in the final minutes and maybe the score in the end of the game could've been different when it was all said and done.

Maybe I am wrong here but I swear this is the first year where the team was doing real well and then the FO destroyed the team.
I'm done. They have to earn me back.

It's hard to watch diehard fans tear each other part here. There's a lot of misdirected anger. I get it too. I feel the same way.

I'm still putting the little one in a kings onesie. :)

A sad little part of me wants to see us lose tonite just to watch the ****storm, with the hope that a fire is lit under the arses of our FO.
I honestly think it's going to take something like this. Finish the year with the worst overall record and watch Pete try to justify it just before he gets thrown out on his arse.

Actually I think I was one of the few people in the thread commenting on THIS GAME. Same goes for you VF21.....we actually watched and discussed this particular game.

That's not to say that bitching and complaining about the direction of the team and all the mistakes the front office is making aren't of merit but a game thread should have some discussion about the actual game. People seem to have a hard time understanding that.
You're making blanket statements about how people feel about the team or the game that has nothing to do with their posts. In reality, you are using your posts to take shots at what you perceive to be a board full of people bitching in complaining.

I don't like giving up 128 and 115 points in a game to any team. That comes from a result of speeding up the pace of the game, without having the defense or rebounding to stop the other team. That has nothing to do with whether Cousins is in the game or not or who I think we should lose to.

I don't care who we play or how good the team is that we play. If we lose in a bad way, I'm not going to be happy or just sit back and say oh well.

I like those players you've listed.
2. I think Lopez is a player a team like us should gamble on, but I think the Nets would want far too much. If we had Lopez/Cousins even at the expense of DC, it would be a good trade.

3. I think we should go after Green in the offseason. Not sure if we'd have the room, but he's a very good shooter.

4. Martin would make this team A LOT better.

5. Green is more of a SF. Wright on the other hand, would be great for our team. He'd probably be a better PF next to Cousins.

I think PG is a position that if can be improved, should be improved. Wow, I was going to throw out the offer JT to Cleveland for our #1 protected back...but the Bulls own that pick now. I hate Cleveland. The Bulls currently have our top 10 protected draft pick.

As are you and for the record I don't like the terrible defense either. I made multiple posts in this thread discussing specific defensive sequences and/or players. Did you?

Make no mistake it is a board full of people bitching and complaining (and guess what I'm one of them). However in the context of a GAME THREAD I am willing to also discuss the actual specific game and specific plays/sequences in same game. Some people actually seemed to get mad that were people such as myself were actually talking about this specific game.

What is the point of a game thread if it just turns into a greater discussion about the direction of the team and nobody even wants to talk about the game itself? Like I said earlier why have 82 of these then?

Unfortunately I think Mullin would just walk into the gm spot if that happened. We need to get both out than the stench will clear.

I like those players you've listed.

Lopez trade value is pretty low since his injuries/pending FA. They already start Plumlee and they would even take a knuckle head like lance for him as been reported.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

Last night was as doom and gloom for me as the last game 4 seasons ago.

As much as I want a do over when they're in Portland in a few weeks I just don't know that I can spend money on this team again. Shocking after the promise of the early season.

Ya man I used to love going to other teams forums and read about us "watch out for the kings", "kings will be in the playoffs", and so on. Now we get clowned on it was so good just 3weeks ago. WHY
What's crazy here is that FO made perfectly clear that they were not happy... with what was going month ago - because it was not the way they envisioned the team would play... It seems that they actually were happy to have excuse to fire Malone.
Malone is not experienced coach. He was not perfrect and he made game-managing mistakes which even caused losses in some winniable games. Also he played Sessions which was awfull and I think Omri never got credit he deserved (maybe I'm not neutral here). But there was tough interesting team with not bad defence which were in game every time (even if lost some of them). All problems were fixable, and Malone could improve in future. Now it seems to be just meaningless season which doesn't lead to anything while team is lead by "interim" temporary coach...
If FO wanted to improve offence by using more P&R and ball movement and less ISO - I don't beleive Malone or any other coach would object this. But it seems that they were determined to play run-n-gun with no defence...

Oh please don't take away the tiny bit of my remaining optimism.:(
