D.Williams is a terrible teammate.

I've noticed him messing around and playing "grab-a$$" many times. He doesn't seem to have the most important skill, which is mental fortitude and focus.

Contrast him with how Omri Casspi carries himself and it paints a clear picture where both players are at mentally. Some guys "get it" and some don't. He doesn't get it.

As a professional who is getting paid millions, you don't vent frustration by being a clown during games

Well, he's similar to Donte. Loads of athletic potential coming out of school but thought everything was a joke, had terrible work ethics and didn't improve at anything in their first 3-4 years in the league.

And just like Donte, I expect DWill to end up in China. Don't give me this DWill to Europe crap, he's not good enough to play for Europe's better teams who'd actually pay what CBA teams pay.

All I can remember is the 3 fouls in one minute, then watching him chuckle about it while the other team shot the FTs

Sorry DWill I'm so done with you.

More Omri Please !!!

A lot of assumptions being made here, does anyone actually know how he commits himself to his work, or are we basing it all on this dancing incident.
I'm basing it on the results on the court, more than anything. If he's working at his game, there's no evidence of it.

Ben, you can see growth. You can see he's learning. The results aren't always there, but, he seems to be trying. That's all you can ask for, and if he never gets there, well it's not his fault he was drafted.

Looking back at it, it seemed that he mentally checked out as soon as the Rudy Gay trade happened. It was almost as if in his own mind, he said to himself at that point,...there goes my chance
Yes but that is when he should have doubled his efforts to be the best 6 Mil backup SF in the league to work towards getting a trade to a team with a starting spot available

Just because someone says you have potential doesn't mean you do, no matter how hard you work.

Yes, just like that. Crawford makes the most of his talent, because he believes in himself. Huge confidence. It doesn't matter if his comparisons are actually true or not. The point is it helps his game and performance...a lot
um...Jordan Crawford is out of the league in part because he is a delusional schlub that never figured out his place towards the bottom of the NBA pecking order. Having "self confidence" to the point you are no longer attached to reality can be nearly as damaging as having none.

In any case, I don't think all this DWill is lazy DWill is a moron stuff is really necessary to explain this. "DWill simply lacked the talent" and "DWill mentally checked out when he realized he was out of the rotation and would never start anyway with Rudy here" is enough to explain things. If he is indeed checked out though and farting around it would help explain the extreme non-usage and that quick 1min disaster vs. Dirk. Basically Malone would have no confidence in him, and I would imagine his agent is pushing for another trade behind the scenes.

Today we will see a guy, who clearly worked on his game, and made incredible improvements to his skillset. Williams looks the same as he entered the league. One simple skill, C&S long-range shot, would easily earn Williams some minutes, when paired with occasional off-the-ball scoring and defense (haven't seen this beast often as well). Tyreke was reported many times to have worked hard on his shot. Difference between in-game situations and instagrams were maddening. But this year we are witnessing the results. I don't believe, Williams ever claimed, he was working hard on his shot.

Who are you referring to?
