16 point lead and guys are not in foul trouble and they didnt really develop momentum.....so it looks good going to the 3rd...start it off well and build that lead before going to the bench
You know, it says something about the paranoia of a fan base when some members of said fan base (and their commentators) start getting nervous when their team lead is only 17.
Well we managed to steady the ship a little and not completely collapse. We really need a better starting big so when Cousins goes to bench we don't completely dismantle.
I've watched some of the other rookies play. Payton's been struggling. McDermott looks lost. Gordon is terrible. Smart's alright. Wiggins is meh. Parker has his ups and downs. Haven't even heard of what Vonleh has been doing. Exum is meh. Either this draft class was disappointingly overhyped (not likely), or guys just need a year or two to acclimate. Look at Ben - he's really starting to pick it up.
They deliberately shoot them after the clock so that they don't ruin their stats. I think that only Tyreke and Derrick Rose completely ignores stats and shoot these heaves on time.

It's kind of silly that we're already starting to see rumblings about Stauskas. We're literally seeing the result of player growth with Ben McLemore and some are already to throw Nik under the bus after 8 games.
Now D-Will is a different story of it being time to give up on a young player. Year 4 for him and he hasn't improved on anything in his game since his rookie year.

Do you want to watch Nik struggle all year while force feeding him playing time or would you rather have a steady vet who can make a difference right now and help this team win and get to the playoffs? That's not throwing Nik under the bus but that's wanting to win now and the kid isn't ready yet.
Backup PG would certainly help the bench unit from getting killed every time they're on the floor. Sessions stagnates the offense and gets torched on defense. He's practically playing like IT minus the 20ppg
Your rim protection transforms from Cousins to Reggie Evans, who is surrounded by mediocre to bad defenders all over the perimeter (Sessions/Stauskas/Casspi/Landry). Its not at all surprising.

if we can go into the 4th with a 16pt lead...were golden! Memphis is gonna come out in the 3rd and play alot different I think so I hope the team is prepared!
I noticed that we end the regular season with a Home @Home with the lakers. How sweet would it be, if we found ourselves in position to get into the playoffs by sweeping that set?
This is our month from hell. That's why win this, go up 6-3 = tremendous start, not just good one. Surviving this month looked doubtful before the season. Instead we might still be thriving. by the time we start meeting the weak sisters we'll be seasoned and confident vets looking to put weak teams away.
