in my mind, the kings need to utilize demarcus cousins and isaiah thomas to get roy hibbert into foul trouble if they're going to have a chance in this game. all of the hullabaloo over hibbert's defensive prowess is precisely because he's a master of avoiding excessive contact while protecting the rim. in 30 mpg, he only averages about 3 fouls. that said, cousins needs to face up hibbert as often as possible and take him out of his comfort zone, and thomas needs to use his quicks to get to the rim, putting himself in a position to draw contact from hibbert when he slides over to help...
george hill is certainly a good defender at the PG position, but thomas shouldn't have any problem getting by him, particularly in the pick and roll. elsewhere, hopefully rudy gay will have some success containing paul george, who's slumping just a tad right now. but lance stephenson scares me as an x factor of sorts. he's exactly the kind of player who, if motivated, will absolutely carve up the kings defense on the way to the rim. the pacers kinda present nightmare match-ups all over the place, and i suppose that's to their credit as the best team in the league...
