I think people expect the job of our bench to be to come in and close the gap left by our starting unit against one of the best teams in the league (on the road). When they get close or succeed, they expect Malone to pull out his crystal ball and predict the upcoming 6-9 point run by the opposing team, or they expect him to crap his pants and throw in the starting unit to take advantage of this fluke of circumstance.
I'm not going to speak to the overall negativity, but my opinion is I'd like to see Malone build on the momentum the bench creates by bringing in some combination of Cuz, Gay, IT a little earlier.

I don't really think that reasonable people expect that, at all. "Hey guys, you got us the lead! You're playing great! Now, get the hell out!"

What?

I think sometimes people forget that you cannot just sub people in like ice hockey. I noticed several times when Malone would send a guy to check in and he'd wait at the table almost long enough to grow cobwebs until there was a stop on the court.

I have to agree with treach. There are a few here who always start calling for the starters to come back in as soon as the bench gets out there.

The hill 3 was a perfect illustration of ITs impact on d. He gets caught on a screen and never finds his man, rotates out to the 3 point line but gets backed down and when help comes, it leaves someone open. After the shot he looks at his teammates with his hands up.

How many times does he expect teammates to cover for his defensive issues.
