[Game] Magic @ Kings - 1/10/14 - 7 p.m. PST

two thoughts...
1) Wow - DWill jumped out of the building to get that rebound...
2) I think IT's problem on defense is that he over-relies on his quickness by playing either too close to his man (can't recover as quick as he thinks he can) or too far away, thinking he can get back quickly.

I like to see the camaraderie forming between various members of the team. Good for Jimmer to get props from Rudy, for example. :)

Kingsfan23 suggesting that Rudy is forcing shots to pad his stats in order to get a contract with another team.
He forces shots because he has always forced shots and will continue to force shots until he retires. He has been making enough of them that it just doesn't matter.

Malone finally starting to keep his word about giving Williams starter minutes. 16 in the first half, and he's been mostly effective.
I don't think it's so much a matter of Malone keeping his word as it is the players finally making it possible for Malone to do what he's wanted to do all along.

I agree. Believe me anybody with negative comment about Rudy's play while with the kings is an idiot in my book.

I'm not saying that is the case, just a paranoia/concern. There just has been maybe a shot here or there that might have looked forced. My overall concern is if we don't improve he might look for greener pastries, like a long term deal with a contender this summer like Iggy. This all might be unfounded

I don't think that's true. He is hitting on a good percentage with the Kings. What would you like him to do?

I don't think that's quite fair. IT has been doing a pretty good job. Nobody is perfect.
Indeed. I would say he's doing a decent job at moving the ball around and taking good shots. He's just missing them tonight. Also, counted about 4 missed assist opportunities of lay-ups or open 3s he set up.

Doesn't make it any less of a bad 1st half, but he's still contributing

I don't think my comment needed further explanation. And the idea that I would say she's bad because she's a woman is ... well ... ridiculous.

She's a woman official who happens to be very bad. As the ONLY female official, however, I think they cut her a lot more slack simply because she's been the only one for a number of years.
She's not the the only one anymore

You don't think he takes questionable shots sometimes? I did say that it doesn't matter because he has been making enough of them to justify shooting them.

You'll take a six point lead into half-time whichever way you can get it, but we'll need to cut down on our turnovers in the second half. I'm noticing an increased effort on the defensive end of the floor, which is great. We're still seeing Magic players being left wide open outside the arch, so hopefully we'll see more communication and smarter decision making. Nice stint by Jimmer Fredette to come in off the bench and provide a spark. That was huge.

Yeesh. Let's give criticism where criticism is due. Isaiah was 0 - 6 from the floor in that first half with 3 turnovers. He did have three assists, yet as the previous poster pointed out, he seems to be "trying to get his" just a little too much. Let's see Thomas settle down and get Cousins' and Gay rolling going into the fourth quarter.

He is averaging a career high in points with us at a career low in attempts (rookie year excluded). He can force a few more if he wants. Especially when shooting over 60%

Kinda, but it's been possible to play Williams and Gay together from day one
Not the way Malone wants them to play. You can't just throw guys together, especially on the heels of a trade, and expect them to naturally be able to play together. It takes a bit of time and practice to make them feel comfortable enough to trust each other. And speaking of trust? That's what is impressing me the most. It looks like our guys are actually starting to trust each other ... and the coach.
